Leviathan- is on a distinguished road

TO:Crossfire UT2004 Mod

Tactical Operations: Crossfire is a UT2004 mod which came out as a Public Beta-version quite a few months ago. With the first beta 1.0 it was obvious it had a long way to go still. Since then things have moved on alot though. At the moment the game has progressed onto it's 1.6 public beta patch and a dedicated team of volunteers are still working very hard to add, fix and test towards getting the game to progress even more. The next upcoming patch (1.7) for instance will include cheat protection and of course alot of bug fixes.

Also at the same time the development team is working hard on developing Beta 2, which will have new player models/skins, all new animations, some very nice new maps and loads of other stuff which i can't say too much about at this stage.

Some might think this game is a copy of CounterStrike or a remake of Tactical Ops: Assault on Terror (which used to be a mod for UT99 in the early days), but this is definately not the case. Its a continuation of the TO:AoT breed and more than lives up to its reputation with it's very own feel and gameplay. Its had some very good reviews since version 1.6 was released and had TV coverage on GigaLAN as well as being in a few gaming magazines already.

At the moment we are the most played UT2004 mod with player peaks up to 200 players per night and we are close to release our patch 1.7 wich include many fixes and anti-cheat as refered above. Here is some of the media of one of the new maps in 1.7 for you guys

You can also see our video recorded a few days ago while testing the latest internal version. A decent trailer will follow in the next days

What will you need to play this game:

- UT2004 and the latest UT2004 patch (version 3369)
- The latest TO:Crossfire Public Beta (currently version 1.6)

The UT2004 game can be bought for around 5-10 pounds or 8-15 euros now. The TO:Crossfire mod is definately worth that small amount of money. Its a fast-paced and fun tactical game, go try it now!
