Anyone tried Dungeon Runners?

It sounds like something I'm going to give a try (heck it's free, why not) but I was wondering if anyone else already has? I loved diablo 2 and am having a good time with TQ. I figure an online, random version of D2 with an option to pay for access to a couple of extra features is pretty fair. Heck at $5 a month you can play for a month of two free, then once you are past the low levels start paying the monthly and you still have 8 months or so before you've spent what you normally would for a good game at the stores...

From what I've heard, its not worth the price...

Seems more like a way to test the waters for a marketing scheme, than it is an actually viable game.

To put it simply, the game is like a diablo 2 clone with alot of humor and funny weapon names. eg: eclectic cardboard sword of the disciplined penguin

The game basically offers 1 main town hub for 1 realm, and every dungeon is instanced. They have about 40-60 monster types (wide range i know, but i cant say for sure) and about 6-7 terrain types. So eventually different dungeons could all of a sudden look like the one you were just in before.

I'd say this game is only good if you have some casual gaming friends that you'd like to play with at 30 min to 1 hr at a time.

Definitely give it a go since it's free, and if you have a free fileplanet account you can get a key that lets you play as a paying member for a week for free so you can check out the game at it's fullest potential.

Well I agree with Ezero.
I've played for several hours, it's agreat way to kill some time. There is a very light hearted and comical feeling to the game. Lots of cute jokes, stolen names & one liners from other sources (Lothar of the mound people...) The names for items are funny. The build potential for the 3 classes is actually pretty good (you pick a main class to start with - fighter, mage or ranger - and that gives you about 4-5 main skills after that you buy skills to be mold your guy however you want. It pretty simple & I like the system better than the skill tree & class system found in D2. The graphics are nothing to write home about, the game had design input from a X-man artist & it shows - very comic book feeling to it. Lag hasn't been bad but you ar not playing on servers with 1000 people either, usually more like 60 - 80. The community seems helpful & friendly. The game system is very simple to understand. So far I've only found one serious advantage to signing up for a pay account ($5 a month) as compared to the free account & that is the bank space you get. I've not played enough to get very high level so the items that a pay account lets you use are not that much better than the items you can use with the free account. I expect that will change at higher levels. From what I've seen & heard from other players you can dungeon hack in a party or solo through the entire game. I like playing solo most of the time so I like not being limited to items or locations I can explore.
Though they are basically limited to go to "X", fetch "Y", & kill "Z" types there are tons of quests to do.
I ran into zero bugs of flaws in the code itself.

All in all I would give this game a solid 8.5 on a 1-10 scale and if the developers are careful they could easily turn this into a 9 or 10 with some added content. Of course this is taking into account that you are not talking about a cutting edge game that you are paying $60 for; You won't be needing 4gig of ram, and an SLI set up to play.
Perhaps best of all - it is basically free.
From the talk in game though many people are opting to pay the $5 a month. Maybe even enough to make the game profitable... if I keep playing I'll probably end up paying the $5 a month just for bank room & the better items. I expect if development continues for the game they will find other things to entice people to pay.
