exclamation Halo 2 Vista Crashing???

Anyone else here having this problem???

I can enter the game, even play for about 2 minutes and the it just black-screens and says " halo 2 has stopped working"

I have tried re-installing the game, video drives, and nothing is running in the background. I've even installed the lastest patch, totally removed video card drives and reinstalled.

Hardware- core 2 duo @3.2
2GB DDR 800
ATI Radeon X850XT

I've read on some forums to try the patch and try runninf msconfig so that software doesn't conflict but I've tried all that. Here is the error code vista gives

Try setting your cpu and memory at stock speeds, see if that helps.

Well thanks for the advice, but i put everything back at stock (defualt) speeds and it played fine for about 1 mintute then totally crashed again. Nothing like paying $50 for a game you cant even play :P
