looking for some more games

hey guys, well i'm looking for some more games and wondering what your favourites are so far, and also what games to look for in the near future for christmas and whatnot.

i'm looking for more adventure / RPG games,

some of my favourite games to relate to would be WoW, oblivion, cs:s, dod:s, hl2, fable, GW, dark messiah, etc

i'm open to any suggestions, just looknig to expand my game library lol, more so with adventure / rpg type games and FPS's, not really into the RTSs, but i heard c&c 3 was really good so ill give it a try maybe.

also, what do you guys think of Overlord

A game that springs to mind based on the games you listed is Two worlds, imo, a supurb action RPG.

Overlord is a sweet game also.

A game that I keep playing the last few days is Disciples II: Ultimate Edition.

yeah i just looked at Two worlds, it looks sweeeeeet im defiently considering it.

disciplies 2 looks like diablo, but also looks fun, is it worth the money?

any other suggestions?

generally my FPS need is fullfilled by CS:S and DOD:S but i feel like im wearing those out quicky, how is GRAW 2? or any others at that

If you're looking for RPGs Temple of Elemental Evil, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines and the KotOR series have been the only ones I've enjoyed much in the past few years.

Disciples II is nothing like Diablo, apart perhaps that some units may be similar.

Disciples II is a turn based combination or role playing game and strategy game. You go on and capture cities, explore abandoned towers and other places, while fighting a large amount of different species/races. You create parties of 1-6 "persons" (and I use the term loosely since some of those persons can be dragons, zombies, angels, etc). and you do your thing.
If you play the campaigns (4 different huge ones in just the original Disciples II), you mostly focus on one of your parties. The reason is that whenever you end one mission you get to choose one of your parties' leaders to take with you for the next mission.
The battles between parties take place when one attacks the other and from a more or less classic strategy map you switch to a battlefield where the units are on the opposite sides of the terrain. You can't move your units, but that isn't a problem really. There are two lines, the front and the back. The only way for a unit in the back line to hit anyone is if "he" is a ranged unit, like archer, wizard, etc.
The game is simple in the design, but extremely enjoyable, huge, fun and just plain cool.

Unless you demand a real time rpg or rts, then there is a very good chance you will love this game.

I started playing it about 4 days ago (first campaign of the original Disciples 2. There are 4 original campaigns, not counting the 3! expansion packs...all included in the Ultimate version from Stardock) and it is the only game I play since.
The replayability is very good too, since you can always start a new game with a different type of leader which leads to different tactics etc.
Anyway, GREAT game.

you should give a shot to the Call of Duty series games, and Prey is also good.

i agree the CoD series are excellent.
i have been playing MoH Airborne lately and that is also a very good game...

I'd try Overlord, Gothic 3, and Two Worlds. The first one is the most polished and fun I wasn't really interested in the others cause they're more buggy and for serious RPG players.

battlefield 2142, or enemy territoy quake wars would be great choices.

not to mention crysis when that comes out.

Yeah, ive played the CoD games, but im waiting for COD 4 to come out.

also, i heard gothic 3 got bad reviews as it is buggy and full of glitches?

and i'm defiently gonna look into disciples 2

i hear two world is really very dissapointing.. when it just came out is was already at patch 1.4.. its full of bugs and looks like it's not finished... don't know how it is at this time though, with all the patches they brought out.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
Ive been playing for almost a week and it's a great game. It's best if you're in a Clan though with Team Speak enabled. There are quite a few Clans recruiting now, because the game has only been out a couple weeks.
