It is funny that whenever this game is brought up, everyone thinks of him.

Well, I think of me, too, whenever I see anything about Oblivion.

Actually, I only got it installed about an hour ago. I have beaten all the marauders and equipped the castle with everything from the guy in Imperial City Merchants Inn.
That all didn't take too long at all. I had nearly 300,000 coins already from my previous adventures. ![]() So...now, it's on with the exploring and to see what else there is to be done..... (Maybe I'll come up for air now and again. )

Sweet, now I have to fit this into my ever growing list of game content to finish.
As for this being the end of Oblivion content, sad to see it go, but they gotta focus all their resources on Elder Scrolls V sooner or later

No, not yet. But, I thought I might have found it when I took care of Lord Kain and his lady lich.
![]() BTW, who all is playing the game on Vista? I just installed Vista yesterday (Home Premium OEM) and I am having a few issues. Occasionally, a saved game won't start with an error: 'not enough space for the thread' And, more often than not, exiting the game will produce a 'program not responding' popup. (This was also happening in XP for awhile, too.)

UPDATE and some issues:
I've been playing the game now using my previously very experienced character from Oblivion, Knights of the Nine, and Shivering Isles. So, my saved game is close to 700 hours old. I'm now playing on a newly installed Vista Home Premium 32-bit just installed yesterday clean and fresh on a newly formatted HDD. My system: Vista 32-bit ASUS P5N-E Sli (BIOS 703) All chipset and motherboard drivers updated Intel E6700 A-DATA 2 GB Dual Channel RAM @ 800 MHz, 4-4-4-12-1T ATI X1950 Pro 256 MB PCIe Onboard RealTec Audio HD PSU: Ultra X3 1000W _______________________ The problems: 1. Exiting the game brings up an error: "Game not responding" and have to bring up the Task Manager to stop it. 2. Game crashing at times during combat. This has so far been repeatable and consistent with a bandit outside the castle when you go up the road to the right just a few yards. Exit from the gate, take the roadway just slightly up the hill to the right. 3. After crashing the game, trying to start from the previous saved game produces a "this depends on content no longer available" message. If I opt to go ahead, I'm spawned in a hotel not even near the castle area. However, I've [so far] found a workaround for this: Bring up the initial screen and make sure all the DATA files are selected again and then proceed to "Continue" from the last saved game. This has worked several times in a row now. Otherwise, the addon is really precious and lots of fun. The problems are not!

After DL'in this addon, I'm back playing the game again. (I stopped for a while since I would get into playing, and not keep track of time, damn addictive, it was easier to quit smoking
)I too have the "game is not responding" error on exit after installing this, but it's not a big deal, and doesn't happen every time, only after I have been playing for a while. I did have a "glitch" with a savegame once, but since I back them up, I just reloaded them, and I haven't see that problem since. P.S. this addon is nice, it even prompted me to make a new sig, plenty of places to capture a good pose.

UPDATE:
Since the consistent error I was getting at the CTDs pointed to a .dll that is installed by Roxio Creator 9, I uninstalled Roxio, cleaned up the Registry and played for about 45 minutes...smashing and dashing all kinds of enemies...without the first CTD. YAY! But, BOO! on Roxio!! However, I still got the Program Not Responding when I exited the game. I had that with XP as well and it seemed to come and go. |

Roxio 10 works quite a bit better w/ Vista.

I'll keep that in mind.
Are you playing Oblivion at all, though? It's the only game, so far, to behave so badly on this new Vista installation. |

Haven't played it recently but last time it was smooth as butter. The only game that has been flaky is the beta demo for UT3.

The experience is a whole new ball of wax without the constant crashing during combat! Man, it hasn't crashed once since unloading the Roxio 9 program.
Also, if you have a Flesh Astronach from Shivering Isles in your Summons list, give the poor guy a good workout down in a Necromancer ruin. Man...he tore the place apart!!! LOL!(And, yes, you can use most of the spells from Shivering Isles.) |
