Portal To easy....

is it just me or is it rather easy. I am on Chatper 6 chamber 14 and never took more then 6 minutes I think. played maybe 40 minutes now and fell in water

its good fun though (not played hl2 ep2 yet not preloaded

The last song and credits were made of win. I thoroughly enjoyed Portal, "level" 19 really gave me the feeling of "I really shouldn't be here." But it took me 3 1/2 hours, so mebbe it was a bit too easy. Hella fun, 'tho.

Im not sure if you "died". I think the idea is that you actually escape. WITH the portal gun. Maybe you do die, but your body is OUTSIDE and it still has the gun.

I'm sure this will be cleared up in future installments of Portal/Eps 3

And if you think the game was too easy, try playing the bonus levels, while I blazed through the first 4, the last 2 are going to take me some time.. then theres also a whole 'nother set afterwards.

Aye im sure that Freeman will stumble across the portal gun at that location in Ep 3 .... should make episode 3 a great bundle of fun

Haha, I just finished Portal. It was a nice little puzzle type of game. Truely innoative game play! The Valve Team are turely pioneers in gaming development! My nephew likes this game a lot, too. It would be cool if Valve included the Portal gun for Freeman in the next game of the HL2 series. I know they plan to call it HL2: EP3, but who knows if that may change?

This is another game really worth playing for the unique gaming experience!

I rather enjoyed it. Mind you, I read this thread before I actually played it, so when I got to level 19 I thought, "Damnit, they're right! This is too damn easy!" Then I realized, "Hey, wait, there's more levels! There's even advanced levels, and time challenges!"

I should never have read this thread.

Speaking of Portal, anyone wanna play 40 levels of 2D Portal? Well, you can right HE

RE. It's all flashed based, and it takes a minutes or so to download, but it's another one of those fun little time wasters.

I loved it also! It was a bit short but for an entry level game like it was designed to be (as in it was just an add on with something they were messing around with in house if memory serves me correctly) it is just perfect.

Actually, Portal is based on a game called Narbacular Drop (if you look around on the net you can find it for download... for free, btw). Valve was impressed by the portal concept in that game that they hired the people that created it to work on a game for them. At least... that's more or less the way of it.
