Call of Duty 4 Demo is godlike!

Wow. Just wow! I literally had to pick up my jaw from the floor. It's just so damn cool. Anyone else tried it already?

I love it, and will be picking this one up. Its amazing what they did with DX9; one of the best looking games I've ever seen. The game is very intense, but feels familiar, so you can hop right into it. I love being able to shoot through walls and the like, it makes the game feel very realistic. i wonder how this will effect MP.

Haven't you seen the online multiplayer videos? They look godlike. COD4 is going to be the deepest multiplayer shooter. It'll beat Crysis back to Turkey or whereever that came from. COD4 is THE reason I'm gonna buy me a new PC

I've played through this demo a number of times now, and I can't wait for this game to come out.

I just hope Gears of War sucks (fat chance), so I might be able to afford Crysis when it hits the streets, lol.

It's certainly an intense demo for sure.Once again this is a top quality game.It's good to see the makers keep the COD gameplay intact.

Also lack of Nazi soldiers also make this seem so different.It's on my wanted list.

It's the same thing as CoD2 right down to the nade spamming enemy AI. I liked it, but would rather try the multiplayer (which is where this game could really shine).

I'm surprised too that the graphics are so nice and playable without a 8800 range card, and that the modern style seems to work out about as well as the WW2 setting. I just hope that the enemies in the full game are much more culturally diversified.

loving it on the GTS, cant belive they didnt put 3 on the pc but this makes up for it!!! Runs oh so smooth but i bet it would run smooth on even an 860GT

I wonder what people expected? There is only so much you can do to a war style shooter. Take great controls, add an emersive environment, use decent AI and fun weapons, and some great graphics, and the game is decent, IMO. Over all, the game certainly isn't revolutionary, but I think its still beautiful and fun, and thats all its trying to be. Whats wrong with that?

I find it funny that the most critical gamers are never happy. They bash everything as being unoriginal, yet most have never played games that truely are original, like Psychonauts, and if they had, they wouldn't be happy with it anyway because of a few bugs. They right off Bioshock as a "console shooter port" and ignore the beautiful environment, and 1st class story telling. I guess there is no pleasing some people.

Hornet is right that it's almost identical to CoD2 in every way. That might be a good thing because CoD2 suffered from tired WW2 game syndrome and a modern setting could make all the difference.

It is mainly going to be multiplayer game so SP campaign won't last over 10 hours, if that. But thats ok, who wants to play SP anyways if you can kill campers and n00bs

That's too bad. I get my online fix from Renegade, I prefer a good single player game to be there.

The game looks amazing. I haven't really sat down and tried to finish the demo though. I am playing on normal mode and it seems like a good challenge. I may have to pick this one up.

but do you know what the problem is?

hype.

the game was entertaining and looked great, but certaintly wasn't anything more than any other realistic shooter. it will be nice to see how this compares to battlefield 2 in terms of multiplayer though, and I would really like to try the levels in the submarine or w/e that was in the E3 trailer.

Holy crap, this game is absolutely insane. I just burned through 2 hours and it felt like a blink.

I'm actually surprised how well done the game is, especially with the presentation. It really brings the "wow" factor back to the COD series. Really great game.

I always wondered what it felt like to blast enemy from a helocopter, in black and white no less
