Half Life Episode 2, Graphical Flashlight Glitch or Hardware ?

Half Life Episode 2 Hardware error or Software ?

Is anyone else haveing this issue ????

Everytime i walk right up to the AI or your Partner and flash a light in there face i get weird graphical glitches and for some reason only happens when i flash a light on them lol

is this my hardware or the game or nvidia drivers

i tested 3dmarks 2006 and its fine, no glitches ect.... am i the only one ?
also the flashlight glitches only happen in random places and sometimes last for ages.... most of the time its glitchy....

here is something weird aswell, when you do go right up to there faces and flash the light the glitch happens instantly now if you walk backwards and keep the light and glich but keep walking backwards the glich vanishes ????

hmm...now, i'm not familiar with hl2: ep2, so no spoilers for me please....but from what you're talking about, it seems to be an issue with either the game or the driver. you're not OCing the card are you? i remember back when i had my 6800GT, that whenever i'd have it OCed, that whenever playing Doom3 that only the area within the flashlight would artifact, nothing else,

for now though, i'd say don't worry about and keep playing the game

. especially if this is the only game that this happens on.

Are you using the beta driver which came out for Half Life Ep 2?

yeah this is the only game that these glitches happen on UT3 is awsome no glitches or anything aswell as call of duty 4

the glitch happens aswell when ***** is getting healed and you then get the Gman flashback type thingy and then the same glitch appears again even when the flash light isnt being used...

its gotta be a game glitch im useing 163.75s with latest dx installed.

very weird indeed though i need to know if more people are seeing what im seeing with there nvidia cards.

I had the same problem with the latest betas. Switched to the latest WHQL drivers, no problems whats so ever.
