Empire Earth III demo ?

Tried the demo twice with different resolutions. One 1920x1200 and one 1280x960 IIRC.

First the good parts.
Very easy to build and manage a base. Just a few buildings all available to build from the start.
Different types of resources but they ALL count into one general "raw materials". Great idea. Also instead of money/credits/gold, there is a "wealth" that you can slowly with trading "carts".
I love the changes into that.

Now the bad.
Unless I missed it, no button for picking idle workers?
What is it with the performance? The game was so slow-heavy on 1920x1200 that it was a joke.
Even at 1280x960 the game is not smooth enough.
Bad bad bad, I hope they fix this or else the game is going nowhere.
The pathfinding AI/routines is a JOKE. Even with just TWO vehicles you have problems going from point A to point B even without any terrain obstacles!
I have never ever seen a worse pathfinding in a game. Strategy or otherwise. Trying to send more than two units? HA! Just try the world conquer campaign tutorial and try to fight the first battle that it gives you an army of about 12-15 units. Pick them and send them south as you are supposed to....The units will just circle around going nowhere. It's like bad sex.
I was hoping it would be a good RTS since I haven't played a classic good one for ages, but I don't think they beta tested this game.

I read somewhere (I think gamespot forum) a month or so ago someone saying he is not going to touch the game because they didn't listen to the beta testers regarding problems with the game. I didn't want to believe it but if the released game is like the demo...Daikatana sounds better.

Hopefully the demo has quite a bit of early code in it, but on the other hand the Empire Earth series hasn't really been a one of too high quality. But I haven't talked to anyone who've tried the full game yet and am not rushing out to get it myself, so perhaps I'll be surprised.
