RROD club...

I just got the infamous RROD...

I tried the towel trick (wrap your 360 in a towel, have it overheat and then cool and try again) and it actually worked!!!!

... for ten minutes!

Anyone else got the Red Ring of DEATH?

(my bro with his PS3 is being so smug). Glad the warrenty is up to 3 years now (maybe I'll get a HDMI Xbox now

Hopefully you talk 8 and a half hours LESS then i did , and then oventually end up with your xbox360 back in working repaired order.... unlike me...

Hahaha ya I could say that... Though he doesn't run that folding crap

This will be my third Xbox 360 lol, sorta sucks... Though Judas, first time I was on the phone with MS, it only took me 45 minutes to get them to send me the carboard box of doom. Hopefully, it'll be 45mn again!

Yeah I'm ALREADY on my third 360. As for the box of doom, isn't it more like a box of HOPE? Like your last ditch effort in hopes of it being fixed? Heh.

As for the Postal Code / Zip code thing, it's weird how much trouble you've had since I got my 360 on launch day and it was dead on arrival. I phoned their 1800 number and i got them to send me a box within 20 minutes. How times have changed :P

I dont get MS, the problem is well known and the solution is even out there (x-clamp or whatever they are calling it)...

I'm only waiting for them to fix this and then I'm getting one.

DO NOT, do the towel trick it will only further damage your console because it over heats the working components on it. I have fixed my RROD premium and it's working great for over 2 months now. The problem here is simple over heating, it makes the solder joints on the CPU/GPU disconnect causing the RROD. Solution is to open up your console, replace the 3 cents thermal compond MS uses on the CPU/GPU with AS5 or any quality thermal paste and use a hot air gun or even a simple hair dryer to heat up the joints in order for the solder joints to reconnect.
