Civ 4

My friend bought civ 4 and i downloaded it off his disc. every time now that i try to run it it says that i need a disc. How can i make that not happen?

Particularly since Civ IV is such a magnificently awesome game, and can be got with all expansions relatively cheaply.

...and you dont know how to get a game to work without a CD? priceless
