2 player/co-op ps3 games

hi

basically im looking for some fun 2 player split screen games for the PS3 (harder than it sounds) me and the lad have been enjoying Resistance fall of man , lego star wars and too a degree the simpsons

i recently picked up CoD 3 but was disapointed to find no co-op mode same with Motorstorm (although its damn fine)

so basically i am after recomendation we both like FPS and racing games but not so fond of RPG's or sport

any suggestions for games that we can play together does CoD 4 do split screen ... what about Turok etc ???

cheers

I think Rainbow Six Vegas supports that, but I don't know if it is out of the PS3 or of it does 100%

ermmm thanks for signing up just to let me know that

anyway i still have the same problem with the PS3

a lot of games that say on the back 2 player are only 2 player with an internet connection i basically want to play a game split screen with the lad offline and as a benifit play the SP campaingn for 2 players if possible

Resitance Fall Of Man , Lego star wars and the simpsons do this

i stupidly assumed that RFOM 2 would allow this on the back it says 2 players but no i can play some CS style levels but thats it no option to play the campaign through split screen and offline

its very frustrating

Re: 2 player/co-op ps3 games

i have the same problem with ps3. the games that have coop campaign mode are slim:

Resistance
Resistance 2 (you do not go through the single player campaign mode, however it does have a parallel story line with individual missions that you can play split screen with a buddy)
COD world at war (very good game but short, maybe 4 hours of gameplay)
Haze (horrible game)
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (i didn't like it but i hear a lot of people did so you might want to try that one out)
Any sports game

That's all that come to mind. I believe Lord of the Rings: Conquest just came out on Jan 13th which has split screen so you can try that as well

its the only letdown on the PS3 for me

Re: 2 player/co-op ps3 games

hi, i know i am malittle out of date with this reply but i though i would any way just incase any one can help or incase i can help them

I have exactly the same problem, realistically i need to get a 360 as there seems to be a lto more choice but its still limited.

and regarding the first post.... i know!! who the hell makes a driving game like motorstrom and doesnt make it 2 player. its a crime it did so well.

Anyway almost every other racing game i can find has 2 player, i would SERIOUSLY reccomend Motorstorm: Pacific Rift.

My Girlfriend has decided to stop being boring and learnt to play the games (probably one of the only girls who is now just as good as blokes) i think its a distinctive mark in evolution. So i am looking for as many 2 player campaign games i can so i can play games and its called "spending time together"

So far we have done... Call of Duty Modern Warfare
Army of Two
Haze (DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PLAY)
Resistance: Fall of Man
Kane and Lynch
Rainbow Six: Las Vegas Two
and Resident Evil 5 (BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED!)

Please if any one has any suggestions on more please reply!!

PS If any one is contemplating purchasing Res Ev 5, Do Do Do it is seriouly one of the best games i have ever seen!

Regards,

Re: 2 player/co-op ps3 games

Hello everyone, I have recently bought a new Playstation 3 and I usually download games directly from playstation store online by paying for it. I only have 60gb internal hard drive space to store this games. So I just wanted to know how to backup playstation 3 games on my computer or an external hard drive? Anybody has any tips that can share with me? Thank you

Can you not redownload them whenever you need to?

Re: 2 player/co-op ps3 games

hello all. jumping on this string a little late but... I'm in California, my best mate is in Atlanta. We only play co-op campaign games THAT HAVE A STORYLINE. Unfortunately, a lot of games appear to be campaign but come to find out you're playing others online. We don't do that because, frankly, we're not that good. So, to answer the question of the original post. I would HIGHLY recommend Borderlands. If you haven't already run across it, it's simply the BEST co-op campaign on the market. And, bonus, if you're playing with your girl, there's a female character. Cheers.

Hello .Im a new member to the page, co-op gaming is my way of life lol. Just wanted to add to co-op campaign. I did like Dead Island. even payday the heist has pretty good action, the war of two, and yes on rainbow 6 , you can co-op with friends in campaign.
