Across all platforms a game called "Tusker" for the Amiga 500 has to be the worst. You finished level one and the game just stopped. It was a bug in the final release and was never fixed
![]() Of more recent games I would have to say Transport Giant. Heap of junk

I can't believe someone remembered that game. I now know we are most likely in the same age group or you're even older than me.

How about the Capcom franchise games for the NES. I remember they were so unbelievably hard, and they really were just a shell of their namesakes.
Landing the airplane on the aircraft carrier in Top Gun, to this day, is nearly the most frustrating game sequence of all time, second only to the refueling sequence. All that coupled with the inability to save and it's absolutely terrible. And I don't think I knew anyone that beat Ninja Turtles 1.

Pwned Ninja Turtles, refueled my plane, landed the sucker and pwned Megaman. But much harder game I remember was Contra. The original one. DAMN that was hard! But good. The crappiest game I have ever played(I've played a lot of them and even liked them) has to be Battlefield 2. You say "NO WAY!!!" but I say "ya way lolzor". It's because it's so frustrating with it's idiotic engine, crappy code, infinite lag, UTTERLY RETARDED patches and gay game mode it has got to be in my CRAP of the century list. BF2 is a brilliant game(in theory) and it's totally let down by being coded by monkeys. It's almost the same as having a lapdance but the ho is separated from you by a plexiglass wall. |

I should have been more specific, I ment movie franchise games, not all capcom games. Mega Man is great.
Top Gun and Turtles are absolutely terrible, no way to shake it. When I was a kid, I convinced myself I liked them, because who didn't love Top Gun and TMNT? I remember firing them up in college and being blown away by just how bad they really arefrom a pure mechanics/gameplay standpoint they are just plain bad. And they really don't even resemble the movies/TV shows they are trying to, whatsoever. Still, they have a kind place in my heart. ![]() And I agree about Battlefield 2. It's one of those games which I really wanted to love, but just found it to be the most enfuriating experience in recent years. It's more waiting around than it is fun.

One that comes to mind was a Spider-Man game for the SNES. I don't exactly remember which one. I bought it used from a local video rental. It has to be the worst game I ever bought. Wait, that's not the worst. I just remembered it was a game for the PC where you could actually win 1 million bucks by completing the game. It was a Myst type game and I don't even think anyone won any money. It was game made back in the late 90s. I don't remember the name. I'll ask my friend, he was with me when I bought it. That game was horrible.

E.T. for the Atari. You spend a while wondering what you are supposed to do while falling down holes you can't see. Although there is a way to win. It isn't worth your time.. Guess that is why there is a landfill pile of just this game. And my parents bought 2 copies of this game
...Wow a good portion of the games listed had brilliant ideas for gameplay, just bad overall implementation. For example TMNT and Ghostbusters, both incorporated concepts that allow the player the freedom to roam around the major issue was the gameplay mechanics and lack of a real story. If these issues were fixed I bet these games would have been awesome. Especially considering what they produced as game sequels. I think more thought went into TMNT and Ghostbusters than the rest of the games for their franchise. (Ones Currently Released: Disregarding GhostBusters 2008/2009 )

1. Fantastic 4 for the PS One
2. Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) for PS3 - I returned this to the rental store within 5 mins because the framerate was so slow and the game was so childish 3. Rainbow Six for PS One I can't recall genesis games that sucked, I was too young to remember some of them. Most overrated games to me 1. Halo 1 PC (not the XBOX version of course) 2. Doom 3 (both these games bored me to sleep after I finished 50% of the story, and I just uninstalled it) 3. GTA Vice City (great game, but it was GTA3 with a more cinematic touch. The City itself was a lot smaller. San Andreas is by far the biggest leap and my favorite). |

A game called Braindead 13 on the original Playstation. I even paid $50 bucks for it. I think I was the one who was braindead for buying it.

Runescape.
While I played a bit of one of the Zelda CD-I games and it was much worse gameplay-wise, at least it had lulz value. Runescape is just pure boring compressed into game form. Some other runners-up include Ken's Labyrinth (proof that being a good programmer doesn't mean you'll be a good game designer) and Auto Assault. |

There was a game for the Amiga which was released many years ago which had the name: Diablo. I believe it's the worst game I've ever played.
