Wow... amazing, another error in Vice City!!!!
Okay.. when I go into Vice City options > Audio options, it says for my soundcard: Creative Labs EAX.. eh? I removed that card from my computer weeks ago (before I installed Vice City) and it uses it as a default card? But.. I uninstalled all the drivers for that SBLive 5.1 and removed its things from Hardware Manager, and now I'm using the sound card on my mobo (Soundstorm). What do ya think is wrong? Do I have some leftover crap for that SBLive5.1 in my comp? How do I make Soundstorm my default card in Vice City (oh yeah... the nvidia SoundStorm is my default card in Control Panel > Sound Devices, default card in every option possible... damn vice city!

Highlight the row that it says that in, use the scroll up/down button on your mouse or the left/right buttons on your keyboard to select 'detect hardware' and press enter.

Tried that.. and it detects the Creative EAX thing... I'm now using the DSound3D thingie.. and it works, but low quality.. and could be my problem with the textures problem I'm having.. I just did what digital said to do (erase those files and reinsttall new drivers) but that didnt fix anything... so I guess I gotta try fixing this first to see if it does anything.

The EAX thing is a driver that is emulating the sound between your card and the game, if it keeps selecting that as default than thats what you are supposed to use. It shouldn't be causing any problem and I imagine it isn't so just leave it.
