then I missed the news post yesterday but for fileplanet subscribers they are giving an exclusive early release of Call of Duty demo this Sunday. Well just guess who is the latest $30 for 6 months subscription to file planet??? you guessed it

They claim they'll have HL2 and Doom3 as early demos too. Sure its probably only a week or so before public release but I get it early and hopefully at my full 150Mb speed

edit - though may just pay the $7 for a month and snag CoD up now and worry bout the rest later

Call of Duty Demo TONIGHT!
There has been a slight change to the Call of Duty demo that was coming out this Sunday. Now you'll be able to play a level of the WWII themed first-person shooter Friday night! Activision has decided to release the demo a bit early and FilePlanet will be your source for a blistering-fast downloading experience.

Finished the demo in about 20 minutes.

The demo is amazing...I was immersed in the game after the first few seconds.

I never thought a game would come out that would top MoH:AA but it looks like it may happen and I was suprised at how "lite" the game was. The graphics are much better than MoH:AA but it didn't bog down my system like I thought it would.

10 out of 10 in my book!!!

I hereby declare this game to be KICKASS.

This game rocks, I forgot I didn't have my system (amd XP1800 -768mb@pc266 *9700pro) OC'ed at all when I first played it and it ran like butter with ALL settings maxed out in game!! When the fence I was ducking behind got hit and a big hole opened up in it- I knew this game was a little different- This game is sweet- The graphics look like the resolution is higher than it really is somehow- I was playing at 1024 4xAA, 16xAF and it looked like 1280 x 1024- Very nice- I'm buying this one- It runs sooo much better than any other MOH-
Amazing.

I have played through this demo several times already. I like that it's not entirely scripted.

Also, on my system, it's just as smooth as can be with the eyecandy set high.

certian graphics of the game are slightly better than mohaa and their are certian graphics that are poorer ... i found it no better or worse than Mohaa

The flame seemed a lot better for one thing, but I don't recall any graphics being poorer...? Come to think of it, I didn't look too closely at any bushes, but I don't think they'd be worse than MOHAA

. The sniper scope on the weapon I found was pretty "sucky" though.

However, what struck me most was the amazing squad play for the AI, which seems to establish the game as clearly better (IMO). Also, the addition of prone is something I welcome, as well as the aiming down the rifle. However, I don't have the hang of grenade tossing (none of the finesse of MOHAA seems available AFAICS so far

Wow, I must have a different demo! I thought it was head and shoulders better- But then again I play at 10 x 7 /w 4xAA, and on the other MOH games there were parts that would not take to AA because they were part of transparent textures or something (my guess)- so that alone makes this game WAY better for me- And it's much smoother for me too- But I'm sure everyones PC's handle all games differently.

I think this is the sleeper game of the year- With all the hype for all the other great games coming out, this one slipped under the radar. If the rest of the game is like this, it will be an instant classic. I cannot believe how fast it is, and how good it looks at the same time, just a great game- they must have worked with ATI on this one, it plays like it was built for my video card.

I've just played the demo and found it to be awesome. The lighting is fantastic and the the whole game seems far more realistic than MOH. Funster, I think you'll see a big difference if you get a 9700pro or similar 'cos it looks fantastic on my 9800Pro with everything maxed!

And it's good because stupid EAgames doesn't have it's grubby mits all over it-- I think all the problems MOHAA games had was beacause of EA.. This will be better, just because of that. Too bad it's not really going to be a MoH game though.

Oh yeah, I just played it through @ 6xAA , 16xAF @1280 x 1024 with all options maxed in driver and game and it was very playable and very smooth. More games should be this polished..

It must be optimized for ati because that Nvidia card is a fast one- I did see some ATI and Nvidia specific code in the .cfg file though.

I agree I think the texturing and facial expressions are much better, I played the demo last night and its amazing, I cant wait to see this one, you wouldnt half know the original guys behind MOHAA are behind this one, it plays so well.
