Nintendo DS Lite

So, let's say that I want to buy again a DS. What single game would you suggest to buy if I want to play a game that is not in real time, with lots of replayability and good looking graphics?

I used to have a first generation DS, with a few games, but I hated the control schemes for the games I wanted it then (racing) and there weren't any strategy or rpgs that I would enjoy more than any. I sold it and bought a PSP, but I don't like the controllers either. I find the d-pad too far apart and impossible to go diagonaly (not that the DS is better) and the analog stick which would in theory be excellent for me for racing games, sucked ass due to the very small size etc.

So, DS Lite for stategy/rpg games. Suggestions?

Re: Nintendo DS Lite

Sure, Civilization Revolution and the latest installement of Advance Wars, Dark Conflict.

The DS Lite feels so much better in my hand. Even the d-pad feels better. And the brightness! It's like two small flashlights.

Zelda are like real time battles rpg game, right? Not my style.

I had the Mario Kart DS when I first had a DS, all the bonuses (turtles?) etc ruined it for me.

Metroid is a shoot em up, correct? I would rather not.

I think my next game will be Pokemon Diamond (I have never played a pokemon game before and ALL the reviews are worthless since they all say about the gameplay that it is like all other pokemon games....) but I think it has turn based battles where you choose your best slave to fight? Like in ancient Rome or something.

I would like a basketball game, but I don't think there is any available. Or sub sim, but good luck with that.

Re: Nintendo DS Lite

You sound like your tastes are similar to mine Bluemak. I was surfing around for simple dungeon crawl games that I could instal on a flash drive & play at work (without installing on the work drive) that were turn based & I could build a party. Found a great one but it was flash based.

Still hunting for something. old school roguelike but with better graphics and a bit more meat to it. Good luck with the ds. if it works out for you & you find any good games post em!
