To Steam users with multiple harddrives, sleeping drives waking up?

If you are using Steam and have one or several extra harddrives that are not normally accessed by the system or the games you play through Steam, do they tend to wake up from sleep when you start the Steam client? (You could temporarily lower the drive sleep timer in the power management setting to test this if you like)

I'm just curious to see if others experience this or not, as I've contacted Steam support about this behavior that I am exeperiencing. Every time that the Steam client starts up (and at some other Steam related times as well, so just having Steam running all the time is not a solution), all drives in the system are being accessed and woken up from inactivity sleep. With four drives typically being asleep in my system the irritance is kinda growing...

Not with my external HDDs. I don't have internal ones.

Yeah it doesn't seem to affect my external drives either.

I've not noticed it (i've two additonal drives), but I'll check it out to verify this evening.
