Eu iii

Gamersgate has an offer of EU III complete, which has the game and its expansion packs, all together for 9.95.
If you like grand strategy games this is an amazing offer. I have EU III, but I will probably buy this because of the low price. lol.

I never understood exactly how to play EU, it's got its own niche in the strat market, and it seems.... complex

Heh, I guess you are right.
EU3 is easier to control even though it is more expansive, than the previous games in the series, and with the expansion pack Napoleon's ambition you get more options before you start a game to make the game more manageable. At least in theory since I don't have N.A. yet. Two things that I know it has (N.A) is an option to disable inflation, which is a huge thing dealing with, and...the other I forgot lol.

If you do get the game, make sure you start with something like Muscovy till you learn the game.

I never managed to enjoy EU_Hearts of Iron series, but the regular EU is one of my favourite series. Still, my favourite of all the EU games is EU:Rome with its expansion pack. That game is spot on IMO and the only in the family of EU games that I never once (that I remember) said to myself that the game would have been better if it was turn based.
