That's right it's GOTY time already!

We're currently working on GOTY 2009, and would like your input for games that should make the voting panel.

Obviously the usual categories will apply again, Sports/Driving, Action, Role-playing, Strategy and everything else, we'll confirm the categories later this month. Of course we'll be running a readers GOTY as well.

So if you have any suggestions for games that you think should make it into our GOTY please let us know!

Anyone wondering about any prizes this year, let's just say you'll have to wait and see.

FPS: Borderlands, I really like the game and the style is somewhat original.. Prince of Persia had something similar, but still.. it's a change of pace with the race to photo-realism.

Role-Playing: Dragon Age is, in my opinion, a game that just has to be on the list..

I have only bought three games this year..

A)Batman AA
B)Wolfenstein which is going to be ebayed soon
C) Call of Jaurez: Bound in blood..

Out of those 3 Battman AA is the best of the small bunch.

Unfortunately most of the AAA titles will come later this year L4D2 , Dirt 2 , The Saboteur.

But for me the best Games I will vote for so far are :
FPS : Nothing good I played , maybe Fallout3 GOTY edition is good although I didn't try it.
Sports :PES 2010 of course
Odd world : Plants vs Zombies

And Batman AA is the best of all but I don't know in which category does it fit

Forgot something , for Action / fighting I think Street fighter IV is the best although I am not into that genre.

For MMO I nominate D&D Online: Eberron Unlimited. It's not really a new game, but it's a nice repackaging, available for free, and it's definitely much better than how I remember DDO when it first came out (I played very little at the time, because I didn't like it). Plus apparently it's one of the few games that will get DX11 support next year.

I'll add Champions Online to the MMO nomination list, because I think it's a worthwhile contender, but I liked it less than DDO when I played it at the recent free weekend.

Lord Of The Rings Online

I had been playing that since closed beta and carried right up until last month. Due to the demands of a 6 month old I'm not able to sink in 5 or 6 hours to raid so I canceled my subscription.

While I was playing I was impressed by the crafting and battle systems, the way Turbine approached implementing changes and free content expansions and the aggressive roll out of paid expansions to further the game flow.

While I can't say if I'll get into it I was completely entertained for over 2 years.

Well i would like to see as options my favorite games


About Sports i liked most NBA 2k10 and FIFA Manager 10.

NFS: Shift and Dirt 2 are in my opinion as must-to-add in driving category.

For Action i have a lot of suggestions, such as Bordelands, Left 4 Dead 2, CoD: MW 2, Shattered Horizon, Red Nation, Red Faction:Guerrilla and Batman AA.

For RPG i would suggest again Bordelands and of course Dragon Age : Origins and Torchlight!

In Strategy section i would like to see Empire:Total War and Warhammer 40k : DoW 2 and for sure Plants vs Zombies!

For MMORPG Champions Online and Aion deserve a place each.

Also i would like to mention the impressive Braid and Machinarium for Indie and Casual games!

Damn too many great games this year ... It will be a really hard fight for the winning top.

I have played only 3 games this year - apart from BF2142

They were Mirror's Edge, F.E.A.R. 2 and Batman AA.

I enjoyed all of them but I would put Batman forward for the trophy due to the attention to detail and quality of the Batman world, the excellent graphics despite the old engine, use of PhysX, the story and all the extra content like Riddler puzzles and character profiles.

I finished playing about an hour or so of Dragon Age Origins. I can't believe how good this game is. I know it's too early to reach conclusions, but wth, my "vote" for RPG of 2009.

well so far the only game I have played this year is Prototype its a good game but not the best another really good game that i have read about but not played that need to be up there is Batman AA so those are my two nominations

Dead space is really the game i played , Not groundbreaking but it was a breathe of fresh air as they mainly changed the interactivity and panels which was quite cool.

Suggestion:
Gaming heaven should include a user rating system, where users can rate a game say x/10 this would make it easier for you guys to judge which game DH and GH members loved.

Too soon! I haven't even played Borderlands, Dragon Age or MW2.

IMO, the game to beat is Batman: Arkham Asylum.
