Single player only. I don't care about how good or bad it is online.
Quality and length are important as is replayability.

Crysis Warhead is quiet good but the lag can be annoying some times if you haven't got good enough hardware. As far as i remember its the 2. longest of those.

STALKER Clear Sky have i never played but i have played the first STALKER and i thought it was a bit boring since the fps part of the game was bad made imo.

Modern Warfare 2 is the best fps i have ever played but the length of the campaign is not that long, i think the mulitiplayer part is rubbish imo.

Modern Warfare 2 has very interesting and intense campaign, but it's length is about 5-8 hours on hardest mode... Too much money for a short single player.
Crysis Warhead has the best graphics and in my opinion the most interesting plot (comparing with these three). It's length is a couple of hours long, and steam has Warhead on sale at 14.99€! And Crysis is the only moddable.
Stalker Clear Sky has nice graphics (not as good as Crysis, but better than CoD:MW2), interesting plot, but it's not as intense as both above. I haven't finished it to tell you about it's length, but i don't think that it takes long to see The End.

Imo the best choice (at least for me) now is Crysis Warhead because of the high ration Quality/Price.

I would go for modern warfare two..

The graphics are superb,especially where the particle effect follow fires etc.. It does get fairly tough in places..The character animations are also improved over the first one.

But bare in mind the single player is not that long.I bought MW2 off steam yesterday morning and i have already completed it..But i do think the replay value is quite high..

I have no idea what Stalker CS is like,and i have no plans to find out either..

C Warhead even though it is not just an expansion,Unless you have played crysis you might be missing some of the details...But Warhead is much better than crysis,still quite short..

If CW is a couple of hours long, I fail to see how even 15 euros are better money for hours available to the other two games, but a couple of hours is just silly. CW is out of the picture.

Confused a bit, why do you think the replay value of MW2 is quite high? The SpecOps missions are also available for single player, correct? Any idea how long they are?

Why the "hatred" for Stalker CS?

I have and finished Crysis, I liked the story and the missions inside the alien base/ship (not surprising since I also liked Prey very much), but I was never overwhelmed by the graphics as the rest of the population was

and I uninstalled it after the first playthrough (finished it at normal) without any desire to play it again soon (that was months ago). If Crysis Warhead is very short, then I guess it is not the game for me.

For myself i tend to start off on easy and complete the game.. This is where the replay comes into it.. The second time round i up the difficulty..

Mind you i am a COD fan..

Just my opinion.. I have only just started the specops part,And im not very far into that part so far.. And yes it is solo play.

I have to say that MW2 gains more ground every day. First the no more infinite spawning (if this is true), then the spec ops mode for extra single player goodness, it gains points.

Then again, there is always Resident Evil 5.

Out of the 3 Crysis Warhead by far looks the best if your rig can handle it. I was kinda shocked actually now that I have a rig that handles it well. On Enthusiast settings it's a damn fine looking game. As for MW2 it looks good for a DX9 title but if you have played COD 4 or newer it just seems like more of the same to me, not that that is a bad thing. As for Stalker I have no input because i never got into it at all

I feel that Stalker takes a bit more time than CoD:MW2 to finish. (haven't finished it to be sure)
I will insist (

) that as the sale on steam for CW lasts, CW is the best option.

i wouldn't bother playing a console port what MW2 is. You might as well get it for the 360 or ps3 where there's more people playing on an experience that you are used to for the online. crysis warhead got a little boring for me, but damn good looking game. The game can be played in many ways which MW2 can't. Don't know about STALKER.

I choose Stalker clear sky , probably the longest of the three . Intensive FPS , I didn't complete it but the missions I played was relatively hard . There are many things like buy/sell food/weapons ...etc which don't exist in other games so it may worth a look.

Pimpsta, I did consider getting the 360 version, the version with the night goggles, but it is 140 euros and I can't persuade myself to do so. I also don't have Live Gold (Greece is not a country for Microsoft), and I refuse to give them money to use my "english" gamertag since they are being such lazy fraks and refuse to accept Greece (among many other countries). I have to say, the online part is making me more and more annoyed with Xbox. PS3 online has no fees afaik and I think there are no restrictions for Greece either. I mean, the price for a PS3 80GB +GT5+Uncharted is 239 euros, 100 more than buying the vanilla version of MW2 for the 360+GOLD for about a year....

Well, if they go to $100 per year, it will be funny. What will be their excuse? The online is P2P anyway so they don't have to have servers for each game or anything.

btw, I started playing the original stalker, but I think there is something wrong with the sound. Every environmental effect (animals, distortions, voices) sounds very loud.

EB games here f**ked up my MW2 preorder. I preordered prestige edition, i get to the front of the line midnight launch day. They say its hardended edition, I said no i preordered Prestige. Idiot months ago messed up my preorder, which is UNDERSTANDABLE. It was late, 300+ people behind me, they were spinning off the blame and I wasn't going to sit and argue that night. I wasn't that disappointed with my preorder being not there, but they didn't apologize and claimed basically they were correct which pissed me off. Maybe ill shoot off an email to the district manager haha. Better to deal with smaller gaming stores as I get a lot more trade-in value and cheaper prices.

Its geeks that work in those places that are trained to sell something based on price and availability, they don't know how to deal with people.

I don't consider EB or any large chains to be geeks, they always misinform, they try and give you suggestions that are plain stupid and every store I have been to in a multi state region, has sucked, their trade in values are stupid. 10-20$ on a 60 Dollar game, etc.

As for the main topic, I'd go with MW2, It offers better and clearer Plotlines, and while the campaign was a letdown shortness wise, it is fun and intense.
