Tex Murphy: Pandora Directive is the game that got me hooked on video gaming. I do wish I'd played Under a Killing Moon first but I got the both of them in one package back when PD was first released...or not long afterwards.

When Overseer came out, I splurged $400 worth on one of the first DVD drives in order to play the DVD version. It didn't work. LOL! And, I do still have that Creative Labs DVD drive up on the shelf here.

Back in the early 90s I was in Adventure games. When UAKM was released 2 friends of mine would come to my place and seriously LOL at the scenes, text and video of UAKM. (well, one of the three would do the full LOL), I was finding more fascinating the exploring of the almost real world, plus the hottie at the news stand. What a game it was!
While I still have the discs for the series, they can't run any more, so I will buy them from gog, eventually. I am sure I won't laugh as much as I did back in the day, but it will still be worth it.
