Games that run well on SLI - GTS250
So far I've been playing Red Faction Guerilla and having a blast with it. Compared to my previous card 4870 which stuttered and crashed Red Faction the graphics are smooth and clear, error free.

If you're looking for an MMO, don't look at Lord Of The Rings Online. When I was playing several guys in my kinship running SLI reported a drop in performance. I'm not sure why but you could apparently edit the .ini file although I heard mixed results.
I know that you are looking for games that scale well with SLI but I figure I could help the list by posting one that doesn't because I'm sure you will find less of them.

Usually the general rule is any game you can barely play maxed out with one card, in your case a midrange gts250, you should get a significant boost out of in SLI. Aside from the Crysis series I can't really think of any games that absolutely demand SLI but I'm sure you'll have fun finding out which ones do provide that boost (I know I did when I ran SLI 260's).

I haven't tried it yet so I should ask if you think my Steam version of Half Life: Source is up to running successfully on my current setup? Note that games pre 2000 are starting to become disrupted from proper function and there are many others experiencing the same issues. So Half Life:Source yay or nay?

You shouldn't have any issues with HL1 source. But one of the best sli scaling games I've come across is dead space. Its probably the only game where adding a second card pretty much doubles your fps.

Far Cry 2 scales rather well with multi gpu as well.
