As a Civ fan I'm looking forward to Civ V, hoping that it will be even better than Civ IV.

Don't have much hope for F1 2010. Geoff Crammond is the only one that can do good F1 sims.. and I hope he'll eventually make a GP5.

But you forgot about the big one, the one many of us have been waiting for for years! STO!

Star Trek Online for sure! Have reached Commander 7 so far.

Am looking forward to Alpha Protocol....which has been touted more as an RPG in the previews I've read.

Mafia II has been on my waiting list since....forever! But, I read it actually could get pushed back beyond this year.

I'm not sure what I think just yet about Max Payne 3. The whole concept is a bit puzzling at the moment.

And, anything Deus Ex-related will get a good, close look from me.

EDIT: Posted before adding Mass Effect 2. I'm eager to get it but really involved with STO right now. I also have some other games I need to get finished before jumping on to another one.

That's why I don't like Big companies to acquire small developers anymore. We are waiting for Mafia II since 2002 but 2k delayed it many times , probably in order to save budget for other releases , this year they got L.A. Noire as well which is very similar to mafia . That's why they will probably delay it again , the bastards !
I will move Alpha Protocol to RPG

@ Neshi : I don't know , Blizzard said the game will be out in the second half this year but those guys "blizzard" always miss their dates.

I'm looking forward to Crysis 2 and hoping that consoleitis has not fucked it up too bad. The next Half-Life and maybe the next Batman too if they appear but I am getting old now lolz

Many good games incoming this year. I won't talk about them all.
Bad Company 2 so far is the same and better than I had hoped for. Excellent game.
Mass Effect 2 I will buy as soon as I know I will have the time to play it.
Civ 5, after the personal disaster of 4 for me, news of elimination of religion from the game is something that makes me once again hopeful for the series. Unfortunately if I know one thing about the Civ series post Civ 2, is that I am not going to get the full game (even fixed) till the second expansion pack. So, I guess I might wait a year or two till they come out before I dig in the game. (or even buy it)

Was just reviewing some of the other games due out this year and almost forgot about one I'm quite excited about: SYBERIA III

It's due out in June of this year and is a sequel to one of the best ever Adventure games, IMHO. I played through the first and 2nd one again just recently and they still hold up very well after all this time.

I swore off strategy games because they're addictive and take too much time.

Shooters, I'd love to see what Crysis 2 will bring in terms of graphics. Waiting to see what Deus Ex 3 will bring story-wise.

I'm really curious about Portal 2.

And I want to see FF XIII PC. Will that ever appear?

If it's first person adventure with the great graphics, puzzles, and story, I'd be very happy. Hopefully, the only thing that will be greatly changed is from the point-n-click style to first person. I'd even be happy with thrid person. I really didn't mind watching Kate prance around the screen.

For me most wanted are:
Final Fantasy XIV - Im waiting for this for a long time now, XIII was rather low score but this will certainly hit the sweet spot

Witcher 2 (in Poland Wiedźmin 2) - Patriotism ? nah .... first title get of my back almost 150h and i can say it was worth it

Rig'n'roll - maybe not another super production but u can play this nice and easy (truck simulator)
Arcania: The Gothic Tale - Im a fan of Gothic series, 3rd was a total failure but this looks very promising and another title on my "must have" list.

I'm really looking forward to mafia 2. not a fan of shooters. I love all RPGS too so i look forward to all of them (apart from ps3 exclusives coz i dont have one :P)

I am a bit disappointed with the removal of manual gear in Mafia II but this won't ruin the game for me.

I really enjoyed Metro 2033, awesome graphics and neat storyline.
I'm mostly looking forward to Guild Wars 2, although I don't think it will be released this year.

I used to play starcraft very competitively when it first came out and warcraft (3 & a dota) as well but now am just looking forward to starcraft 2's single player campaign and custom maps.

Heads up ,there is a nice contest on Mafia II site by 2k. Too bad it is restricted for U.S , Australia and some Europe countries (read rules)

About Bad Company 2, is it okay to just play this in single player mode without ever doing multiplayer? Like the COD series or L4D, I haven't really played in a multiplayer LAN, but I do enjoy the single player mode immensely.

Since my last post here, I've completed Mass Effect 2 and will have to add it to one of my favorites of this year.

However, I need to replay the last portion as I lost 2 of my team members and don't want to start out on ME3 with less than all of them...if I possibly can.

While playing ME2, I've had to put STO on the back burner and have only play short periods over the past week or so. Some of the changes they're making have me in a state of....less enthusiastic about it as I once was. It's my first MMO, so, maybe I'm just not accustomed to all the patches and changes "as we go along" and will likely endure whatever they throw out unless it just gets too frustrating to deal with it.

A bit off topic, I recently picked up Flatout - Ultimate Carnage for PC for $9.99 at the local Micro Center. This has had me very involved as the Flatout series is one of the only racing games I really get involved with.
