Neverwinter Nights 2 PC

The gold version which includes Mask of the Betrayer exp pack, is on sale at gg for under 10 quid. Is it worth it for single player only?
Is it a good game etc?

I never got to play the game so I have no idea. I know the first game is liked by many, but what about this one?

Re: Neverwinter Nights 2 PC

I absolutely loved the original NWN and its add-ons. But, for some reason, after playing the NWN2 demo, I just couldn't get into it. Still can't figure out just why unless there was just something else better at the time.

Re: Neverwinter Nights 2 PC

Is there a demo? I can't find any evidence of it by googling.

I played some of NWN2, and while it didn't grab me as much as the original, I played them at completely different points in my life, and IIRC NWN2 does start with more of a story than NWN. It got mixed user reviews (some thinking it's great, some that it's a real stinker), so it'd obviously depend on your taste.

It's been quite some time ago. I found my game folder for it, some saved games and even some screenshots. But, I can't say now for sure if it was a demo or if I got into the early BETA. I DO know I quit playing and never got around to buying the game. Still not sure just why I lost interest.

Re: Neverwinter Nights 2 PC

I played it for a couple hours, myself. I tried it out one a long time ago when it first came out at a gaming centre in town, and it never caught my attention.

I got it myself about a year ago cheap, and after doing about 5-6 hours of gameplay I was just pushing myself to play it so I uninstalled it and haven't looked back. It wasn't nearly as enjoyable as I found NWN 1 to be. I found myself getting bored of the slow gameplay, and disinterested in the storyline. It wasn't all that difficult, but it didn't seem like it was a game that had anything all that attractive to me

Re: Neverwinter Nights 2 PC

It's a good game but nowhere near the original one -unfortunately- if you like RPGs and you can't afford games like dragon age you can take it. Otherwise, run run run!!

Re: Neverwinter Nights 2 PC

it's not a bad game, no where near as good as the original. Prolly coz it's not Bioware but Obsidian. I too, did not even play over 10 hours, it got too boring to continue. The game is very sluggish as well, for the graphics and effects it performs very bad.
