Halo: Combat Evolved Revisted
I had a youngen come in asking a question and requesting assistance with something i haven't visited for quite some time.
Obviously with the thread title someone could easily decern what that might be. Long story short.. the Disk he had was scratched or damaged making it impossible for him to play it. He had picked up for cheap and wanted to try it on his machine. Course not knowing his machine i couldn't say anything. But it raised a question about how windows 7 64bit home premium + intel's i3 would handle it. So.... in order to help the kid... i found my orginal copy in a split second.. and downloaded 120% to make a copy. went into the VIEW ~> Options and down to extra emulation and checked ALL 3 options because i know i never could burn a copy of this game before due to many reasons.... what a pain.. Hit the button to copy and crossed my fingers.. total RIP time tooks 3 hours and 54 minutes.... took less then a minute to burn however. Pop the disk in.. installed it no problemo Went online to get latest patch.. unfortunately microsofts and bungies and gearbox's websites all are circular.. resulting in it redirecting to the xbox halo 3 reach page which is anything but helpful at all... Gamershell had the latest 1.04 patch.. downloaded.. installed.. then ran the Updater included to patch to the latest Then i punched in the command line variable to properly suite.. Heres the results after setting it up and running the timedemo Quote:
this little intel i3 has yet to let me down.. and continues to impress me...

Edit: NVM. I was going to mention that you can go higher with the rez using a command line switch, then I noticed you mentioning altering it.

He put it up there so he could display is Halo editing prowess to unnecessarily reinforce himself as DH Tech savvy.
I luv u too Judas Man you should have seen how many red squiggles were in this message before I posted it. I googled half that message to spell check it. It took me longer to do that and write this then the message itself. |

Re: Halo: Combat Evolved Revisted
well the command line things are childs play.... so no guruness required..
i was just a little shocked because the last time i really played through the game was on a 9800pro/x700pro and while i could get good framerates.... they weren't exactly stellar i remember stuttering and sound issues and all that garbage... tons of people having major performance issues.. most people playing at between 5-15fps average lol
