Just tried the demo, feels like the best NFS yet. It brings back the classic backroad luxury car racing, but with a few elements from the newer ones. Extremely polished and runs 1080p on the PS3. Don't think people will be disappointed by Criterion's efforts...

I've already preordered this one and tried in on Gamescom Cologne 2010. It's brilliant and the guys from Criterion Games, were the right ones to create this game.

Well... it appears that different regions may have a different demo...

For me i have only the choice as a cop... so i have to take out 4 NFS cars as fast as possible...With either a standard US police car or a Nissan Z(somithing) forgot the numbers.

My first run were completed in 3.50 mins....Then managed to knock 33 seconds of the second run...

I cant stand games running 720p on a big screen (even though this is 720p upscaled to 1080p, it feels smoother), Criterion did a good job from what I see. Action is fast paced, it feels polished and doesn't feel like they rehashed the NFSU2 engine for the 10th time. NFS World was garbage, pretty much most wanted with the other cities joined together in a buggy package.

Played it, it's okay but a step down from NFS Shift, they should have let the same company handle it, it feels a bit to arcade like. But its okay, I might buy it.

i'm still unhappy with nfs even shift i thought was garbage still..

Most wanted was fun.... Undercover was fun, and prostreet was great.. but they all lacked the qualities of the other.....

And frankly i am sure they are limited by the potential capabilities of the hardware they are building for now.

The new games actually look really good on PC, but NFS has never been the graphically superior racing game on the market. It actually works really well on the ps3, i hate the interface they have been using since NFSU2. Most Wanted is by far the most overrated game in the series I find though. Limited customization and no more evening races. Carbon was a lot more fun.

I tried the demo, only the cop cars were allowed, I am not sure what to think. Disappointing that there is no cockpit view. Good that the game feels like NFS. The cars felt a bit sluggish turning. Graphics are good, the sound too, but I had to turn off the music. I am not crazy about the d-pad releasing the traps for the racers. It means having to take the thumb away from the "wheel" which can be deadly for a fast paced game like this. Perhaps there are options to change the key bindings, I will check another time.

For me, a definite maybe.

All the games in the NFS franchise AFTER Need for Speed Porche unleashed had glaring issues..

Like i've said several times before.

EA has consistantly dropped the ball..

They produce a NFS with tunnel view.... "we'll focus on this aspect" and then they ignore all the rest of their previous series..

They NEED to combine everything into one game..

All the excellent things of most wanted, hot pursuit, undercover, prostreet, carbon...etc...

Everything under one roof... in a single game..

full auto customization, night and day and all the way around the clock driving senarios.... weather conditions.... Advanced/expert mode customizations... (Being able to change the gear ratios and other specifics of the engine with REAL numbers not just "low/high and a bar to move it with no clear indication of what your really adjusting.... that would be for basic mode)

They've done it in porche unleashed for gauds sake... that was over 10 years ago they had basically everything anyone needed the blue-prints were laid out..... they just needed to advance it with the time and improve it.. and they keep backtracking ... it pisses me off.

Its how many manufacturer agreements they sign, and I guess the lineup they want to keep is aimed to be more current and what's available in north america. That's usually the case with them.

just installed the full game, best NFS yet. shame its so close to GT5! Criterion did a good job on the PC port. Feels faster and richer than the PS3 version, with console like menus. Finally my fall NFS addiction is back.

Black Ops looks great if you want a rich online experience but it won't be a game that'll be there for years to come. Neither will NFS, but its a great return to a series that has been in the shitter for a while.
