I am a bit behind in the series, I am still waiting for CoD4 to reach a reasonable price for the 4-6 hours of gameplay I am interested in. (ie Single Player)

I haven't really kept up with the news about this game. Is the multiplayer like MW1? Are there dedicated servers? Mod support?

I really enjoyed MW1 multiplayer but didn't even bother buying MW2 due to all the multiplayer problems it had.

Yes it has Dedicated server like in COD4 and World at war. Its a bit laggy at this point, but Treyarch will update this asap. Im very suprised out this game turn out to be VERY IMMERSING!! No spoilers but it is very nice. Its a good pick for christmas if you dont have to chance to get it before

Waiting for it to drop down in price. I hear the campaign is great, but that's what they said about MW2 and ... omg what a load of horse ******* filled with ****** and more ******. ******.

Not a big fan of multiplayer games, to much work :P

Just got it, as it was released at 4am. Got it on Direct2Drive as it was US$89.99 on Steam over here in NZ. D2D had it for only US$46.

Played a bit of multiplayer and seems pretty good so far. Similar to MW2 obviously but the maps are certainly prettier.

Single player after work!

wouldn't mind a go, just got a couple problems with it.

first up i just won't pay that much for a single game on PC.
second, if i still can't make CoD:WaW playable on my main rig (not that i'm happy with anyways), i'm sure as hell not taking the risk with a new CoD game at launch price.

I gave in and purchased it on Steam last night. I was a bit worried about the hastily made decision, but I do not regret it. So far, I am nothing but impressed.

I'm guessing that I'm about halfway through the game. Suffice to say, there have already been a number of haunting moments.

I've leaned towards MoH in the early 2000's but that series has declined up until recently while CoD series has gotten much more exciting and cinematic. The only knocks I have against Modern Warfare and CoD games are the 'on the rails' approach to level design and constant grenade & RPG spamming by the AI (been like that since CoD 2) otherwise I can't understand how people wouldn't want to play them. I haven't even touched the multiplayer in a CoD game in years and would still recommend them all.

Who's playing this on PC? Are the reports of problems with stuttering founded?

I loved MW2 from a SP standpoint, but I'm one that felt not having dedicated servers really killed the MP on the PC. I know this game has some support for dedicated servers, but they must be purchased (or something). How does this work? Is the MP on the PC any good? Are there enough servers to enjoy?

I have Black opps on pc....And i do have the slight stutter issue..

But its nothing to drastic.

Steam auto-downloaded a patch last night, but I didnt' check yet if it fixed the issue. I actually haven't played MP yet.
