Same... I'd like to see some flashy new graphics, but on the other hand at least Bethseda's current engine means that I'll be able to play it on high settings on my now "old" PC.

The engine works well and it's perfectly suited to this type of game. Plus, it's incredibly tweakable.

Given my history with the Elder Scrolls series, of course I'm interested. But I'm not excited about it. There is so much Bethesda has to fix to before I really desire it.

Sadly, since the 360 and PS3 could barely run Oblivion there's no way Bethesda will amp up the graphics for the sequel.

What amazes me is that they chose to make a press release about this... it show's a massive misunderstanding of the preferences of most PC gamers.

I know that Skyrim will have console versions but... does anyone really want this kinda shit in an RPG?

Well...it's an improvement from Oblivion at least, and it's far shinier.

Also, they really shouldn't have made the Apple reference, but it does help keep the immersion idea alive.

I don't know about that, if there is one thing that PC gamers love more than consoles, is Apple computers. Now tell them the RPG they have been waiting for is going to be a console port with hints of Apple...

I hated how console oriented Oblivion and Fallout 3s menus were. Not sure how this will end up but I don't think it could be much worse than oblivions.
