Alice Madness Returns

Anyone?

The first one was very interesting and spooky, even scary. Though that is more because I always found the Alice in Wonderland story as the most terrifying fairy-tale ever. Even now.

Anyhow, have you bought it or plan to buy it?

Having played and loved the original America McGee's Alice, I intend to get Madness Returns, but probably not in the immediate future.

I bought it at the same time I bought DNF, but I won't get it play it for a couple weeks (house sitting).

From what I've read the PC version is far and above "graphically" the better version with reviews in the 7/8 out of 10 area (might go home and try it before house sitting).

Console wise, average score around 6/6.5, with the same old lines about the PS3 looking darker, and smoother, while the 360 version is sharper, and brighter (and apparently a little too bright.. almost washed out in some instances). The nod seems to go towards the PS3 version since the game was built to be graphically darker, and the PS3 seems to highlight that effect (darker areas are more pronounced.. such as dirt between cobble stones, and shadows).

What I really hate is that unless you bought the game via EA's store you don't get the remastered first game whereas the console versions come with their respective PSN/Live downloads for free.

Wow, thanks for the info Tipstaff! I didn't know you were also getting the first game remastered as a download.

PS3 version it is then!
