Re: Single-player PC Games
I would buy the original. I found it for $4.99 on Steam one day...it's well done, but not my cup of tea.
Unfortunately, in terms of action/rpg I feel like it's been static/stale for a couple years now: Dragon Age Origins (DA2 was a waste of time), Oblivion/Morrowind, Witcher, Witcher 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, League of Legends (for a very dumb but fun RTS-RPG sorta feel), Guild Wars (always a classic...best free to play MMO ever made. Guild Wars 2 is going to be amazing), and the Bioshock franchise. Along with LOTR: War in the North, I'm keeping tabs on Dead Island (zombie action rpg), Star Wars: the Old Republic(WoW meets GOW mmo based on Star Wars, developed by makers of Mass Effect/Baldurs Gate/DragonAge), Skyrim, Bioshock Infinite, Diablo 3, Guild Wars 2, and a few others

Re: Single-player PC Games
I just managed to pick up all 3 AC's for PC for $25, and playing through AC2 (I already beat it on 360, but w/e)...I have to say I hate it. They make you memorize symbols instead of keys..? How am I supposed to know what left hand is, short of going into the manual/game controls and looking it up? Also picked up all 4 Guild Wars for $40...pretty sure with Skyrim, Arkham City, DA3, GW2, and D3 I'll be set for the next couple years or so

Re: Single-player PC Games
Sorry to hear that, it is a bit dumb.
When I played it, I set one of the keys on the thumb side of the mouse as "free hand", so it was index finger for one hand and thumb for the other, and I bound the mouse key below it to "legs" (the head I left as 'E'). I found it rather intuitive and got used to it quite quickly. Or you could always play with the controller.

Re: Single-player PC Games
I might try doing that. My mouse has 6 buttons (3 regular, 3 added/special) so I'll see if I can bind the controls to that. I just feel it's laziness on the devs part :/ tsk.
