UPnP In Crysis 2?

I am having a frustrating issue with Crysis 2.

Yesterday I noticed Windows Firewall was turned on. As I am behind a router I decided to turn it off (how I usually have things). Since doing so I have been unable to join an MP server in Crysis 2. I get a momentary pause and the 'Connection to Host has been lost'.

I have tried turning Windows Firewall back on, completely wiping Crysis 2 from my drive and re-installing, opening ports in Windows Firewall advanced CPL, setting Network Discovery on/off/on. Setting my router to DMZ mode. All to no avail, it will not connect.

I just did a quick test and got a "Invalid Code" message when trying to connect to MP. That's really odd because I haven't changed anything since installing the game originally....from the purchased retail media.

I have to leave right now for work, so, I can't do any further testing now.

It's strange alright - no one on MyCrysis appears to be having issues like this so I assume it's my setup in some way.

I have just re-installed the OS and the game and it still won't connect so I'm baffled right now. Running malware/virus checks.

I just got home from work a few moments ago. Apparently, when I installed the game originally, I didn't need to input the CD KEY in order to play SP. Doing that just now, I was able to get connected to a MP server.... although all by myself....and did play a short session. This was for a Quick Match session.

I logged in with an old account just to see what would happen and it worked - connected just fine!

So, it seems my actual in-game account is the problem.
