ok, I have had enough. Do you guys recommend contacting Amazon UK first or EA for a refund? I'm thinking Amazon.

I would definitely go to Amazon about it. They've been very good to me here in the USA.

As for the game, itself: There have been nothing but horrible reports about this game since release. I've been following only the PC release, though. I think only a very, very small number have had much success with it.

However, my son is playing it fine with friends on his 360.

I could get it for my 360, but only for single player since I don't have gold account, so no.

I will let you know how it goes tomorrow.

Huge disappointment for me, strictly because of the technical issues.

Yes, I clicked on no it doesn't help me and then send them another message. Though the whole thing felt very....I am not very sure if they will get it or not. I will keep updating as it goes.
Basically I told them than while I appreciate their speed and will to help me, replacing the game does not exactly solve any issue I am having with it and that's why I proposed a refund or credit.

Something to consider: do the exchange, and when you get it ask for a refund. Since retailers act the same way, the problem could be that you've opened the game box, and they are dealing with you on that level: replace for same, no refund or credit. If they insist on not giving you either a refund or credit this might be the only option, even if it's not ideal. Once you get the replacement you could try for a refund again, but now that it's a new copy, unopened, chances are you'd be more likely to get your refund at that point.

Now I am waiting for their reply to my reply. If they do send the game to me, I guess I will do what you said. I thought about doing what you said, but I thought that it wasn't the right thing to do.

yeah i'm pretty damn impressed with the service amazon has given in their support system... damn fast..

unfortunately even though the one case i did have.. they weren't able to resolve... and they couldn't really explain why.

Ditto, I logged about 30 hours so far on PC and that included an eye busting 12 hours in a single day on mostly 64man servers I only crashed twice towards the end of the session making me believe the game might have a memory leak but other than that I have found the experience to be excellent. Even my Crossfire works 95% of the time and I use the Party features to join servers with clanmates it's been fun.

i added u a few days ago :P
only 2 issues with the game.
1. it crashes when i load games sometimes.
2. people cheating. that bug where any action kills anyone on the map >.<

Ya crashes happen a lot of people get the black screen bug, I've played with guys and sometimes we get it at the same time on new maps or other times loading BF3 for first time. I haven't seen any cheaters since the beta but I heard they are out there let them get their keys banned Punkbuster don't mess around.

I'll be on BF3 this weekend big time. Marathon of kills!

^Try the beta drivers. I get a better success rate than the WHQL BF3 drivers, plus I can actually use WMM with the beta drivers.

The new plugin patch improved the connection issues quite a bit, although I still don't get the party creation thing working 100% of the time (it creates a party or joins a party but it doesn't show up on the taskbar, hence I can't see who's inside or who isn't).

Maybe it's firefox? Anyone know if Battlelog works on Chrome?

I'll be busy this weekend but sometime next week I'm planning on playing a lot more.

Assault is pretty good for leveling up pretty fast. Just by reviving/Dfib a lot of players I can average 3000-4000+ points a round.
