I received my Closed Beta invite today and am downloading the client right now. Who else prevailed in obtaining it?

Then again.. i doubt i'll be doing much beyond skyrim for the time being...

I know what you mean. Skyrim is > any game I'm currently playing. But this is Diablo! Looking forward to Thanksgiving weekend so I can get some play time in!(and Skyrim)

The only reason I'm not playing Skyrim right now is I just don't have the time for it. The amount of time I spent exploring ruins and fighting perps in Oblivion was massive and I don't have that kind of time on my hands right now. The other reason is I don't want to play it with a game pad, fighting dragons with an input device I'm not used to, I'll just keep dying and that'll take the fun out of everything.

So far I've only been able to play for roughly 5 minutes of Diablo III at a time due to server shutdown. At least I get a countdown to when it is going to shut down.(I suppose)

Seriously wish I got the beta invite, but nothing yet

. Gotta wait a bit for Skyrim, I had the bethesda insider steam code for employee's but don't have a pc strong enough to run it and gave it away on CAG. need a ps3 copy, but MW3 and BF3 are killing my time along with a 5 month old

So apparently they fixed whatever was ailing the servers. I was able to log in some play time and discover that I'm not a huge fan on some of the mechanics. Gone are the skill tree and stat points.

When you level up, you just level up. You may or may not learn a new ability. You have to return to town to "learn" the ability.

I'm in the same boat. Skyrim has taken over in this neck of the woods.

And, Callandor, I'm actually playing it with the 360 gamepad on my PC. It's just more comfortable to me than hunkering over a kb/mouse these days....especially when I spend HOURS at a time with it.

I use the 350 game pad on Skyrim too. I like to sit on my couch and play. Good thing about Elder Scrolls is that aim isn't really all the important. You just need to be in the ballpark with your accuracy.
