How many people are sticking to this game through tought times? How many people will just give up on it if this patch doesn't solve the FPS problem?

I myself voted "no" because the other patch is due out soon after. Even so, leaving a game that you can't take back after paying $50 on because of an FPS problem doesn't settle well with me. In fact, if the FPS problem is never fixed..I may write UBI a letter about this.

I do understand that the people who made it were only about 15 people..or something around that number. But if you're relying on the fact that you had a little ammount of delelopers on your team and that's why you messed up..why even make a game? You don't use excuses if you have a horrible coded game.

You're either able to make a game with SOME bugs or you don't make them at all.

A bug is something that can be simply fixed..in example "freezing during game play" not some bug the effects the whole engine all together.

Not to mention it's a beta Unreal Engine..

It's funny how they use the "Made with ATI Technology" or some quote like that..yet ATI Cards have most of the problems when trying to run this game.

I vouch for myself and my clan in saying that we will never leave this game. Even with all it's flaws it's a great game.
I myself don't suffer from the FPS problem, but when I did I still loved it.

Did you tweak your pc? See..I get in the green area..depending on how many people on the map..and even with that, if I look in a certain area the FPS drop.

Yes, it's a great game, I recoreded in-game play for my gf to show her it. I want her to get it and lug my pc over and hook up a roter. What a romantic evening, after defeating the island map on coop in Elite mode, we kiss and drink wine. Lol.

Ok, I just finished installing the patch, I noticed nothing different with gameplay OTHER THAN DECREASEMENT IN FPS! Now I'm very angry. Before I had FPS that were decent..now I'm getting red FPS that almost NEVER hit the green area. I'm thinking of re-installing my video card drivers before complaining to UBI.

Ph33r PC's that dont get red. Well, I cant say I get no red as I've seen it dip a few times when me and the clanners decided to all nade eachother at the beginning of the round.

Best tips would be the simple stuff you probably already know. Low rez, little AA and AF. I run mine fine at 1024x768 4xAA and 16AF. I rarely drop below 20fps so it could also be certain hardware configurations...

I just dont think it will ever be fixed. I just believe the game has horribly high requirements because of the engine used. They could go about streamlining the code more but I think only two or three persons are working on the patches. The rest are all making athena sword.

It's more than that..if the engine demanded so much, why would they put those mimimum and recommend requirments on? My pc is clearly above even the recommended specs. It's a bug rather than it demanding all these specs.

It's nice that they allowed you to use the whole silenced weapons..but now it's all horrible. The netcode is still horrible..I'm finding myself moving with jerky maps like Oil Refinery..yet, I'm still getting 50 fps..so it's obviously the netcode.

And to top it off, they messed up again. Now you can't play sp terrorist hunt with the other maps.

I have been a HARDCORE Rainbow Six fan from the beginning.I have the whole series, and still try to tplay the old ones every so often.RS was a big disapointment to me, cause of the huge amount of bugs released with it.The FPS drops are pissin me off, cause sometimes it will happen for no reason whats so ever.I am glad to se the anti cheat coming into the works, but im hoping the FPS get fixed also.

You can, but you need TWO cd's and serial codes..you also need to change the port number or something like that.

i recently installed 1.4 patch and like my fps seemed perfect. i threw three smokes and ran into them and fps didn't drop to an unplayable rate. looks good

edit: wasn't too accurate as i didn't have the counter up, can't remember how to bring it up, anyone shed any light?

How many FPS? Try loading the Prison map..now look around once you get to like..the walkway outside..you'll notice if you zoom or look in a certain place, your FPS drops..it's a MAJOR bug.

Better yet..go to the training map, and go to the top of the building..the one on the left when you're first inseted..go to the WAY top..then look out and watch you get RED fps.

edit: btw i run the game at 1280x1024 (monitor native res) with all settings on high

I have good fps..the problem is when you look at certain places or go into certain rooms..your FPS drops. It's the bug.

1.4 rocks! fps is amazing get about 60 or 70 @ 1152x768 with 4x fsaa but drops to 30 in large areas.

we will see what 1.41 patch brings.it's been delayed to sept 2nd to improve punk buster and a few faults from 1.40 patch.
