Halo and performance

Hey all

Guess there are more ppl than me that are surprised to see Halo making their fairly new equipment walk on its knees even in 800x600. I found this very interesting article about Halo and benchmarking.

Apparently many not so needed features can lower performance severily, so for all of you who want to enjoy this great game to the fullest, read this great article!

honestly IMO there are too many great games around atm to waste time trying to fix what the game makers should have done before releasing. console port.

I agree completely... its just that I know there are a lot of ppl that are playing this game for the first time around now... just wanna show that you can improve performance pretty easily to enjoy the game more

I personally think the game is way too short to bother with. 800x600 with all the goodies on was fine and there were only a few slowdowns. I beat it before I even felt the need to tweak it.
