Xbox acting up

My son's Xbox has been acting up, i am wondering if anyone has had the same problem and know how to fix. On his Amped cd it will start the game preview and then stop at the loading point, Halo works without a problem, Gotham City Racing has a scrambled up screen when loading than playes without any problems. I have tried cleaning the disc and running a laser lense cleaner thru the machine

Is the XBOX sitting on a carpet? If yes then your shit out of luck because carpet hairs ruin an XBOX.
Try to open it up and clean it up from inside.

i had a problem with mine that sounds similar to yours...
mine was under warranty so i just sent it back and they fixed it...
hope yours is still under warranty
