Eugh... well it depends on what you know about Bethesda and their other Elder Scroll products. Also it depends on your likes and dislikes of RPGs, and non-linearity (which does exist in this game.) But most importantly, what really matters is your system. Don't look at the system specs and get all happy if you have a CPU above 800mhz, because it doesn't work like that on all systems; there are people who have 1.4ghz CPUs that get crappy FPS (but who knows, maybe they don't know how to take care of their systems).
My biggest gripe so far about this game are the journals, which are USELESS (yet you must use it). Each journal fits on average, about 2-4 entries. These aren't laid out nice and neat, with completed and incomplete quests or anything like that. Instead it just has the day, the month, and the entry. The entry is sometimes quite useless after and before you get the actual quest. "He looks a bit unhappy, maybe I should talk to him and get a task?" I get the task "I got the task", "I have to find this and this", "I found this", "I returned this to this guy", "He looked happy", "He gave me 100 drakes", etc. Each array of words between the quotes is one entry in the journal, more or less. Before you know it, you will have 200+ pages with mostly absolute crap that isn't necessary. Not only this, but there's always this wierd name, Lor gar-Schuaskmisadf, and it just mentions it but doesn't say where to find him, etc. But don't let that get you down, I think its a pretty good game, and I think I will enjoy it more after I get my freakin' upgrade.

Overall I'd say yes, it's one of the best games I have ever played and you will get hours and hours and hours of gameplay out of it for your money, not even including the mods people can make with the construction kit. If you like RPGs at all, this game is a must, even if you don't, I've seen many posts by people who normally do not like RPGs that like this game. The combat is real time, fast paced action combat, not slow-paced turn based. And you can pretty much absolutely whatever you want, wherever you want whenever you want in this game, it's completely open ended.
