Half-Life textures, anything new?

Hey guys I know like system shock2 has a mod working on updated textures bumpmapping and whatnot anything like that going on for half-life that anyone knows of? I'd love to find something but I'm not seeing anything on google or anything that ooks like it would be it on planethalflife. Anyone have any ideas?

Probably best searching through www.planethalflife.com for info on that. Personally I've never heard of a project to retexture halflife. I know with BlueShift(expansion pack) you got more detailed weapon/character models but nothing for actual map textures.

Sounds like someones eager for HL2?

No hungry for Co-op and with Sven Co-op I can! But I want it to look nice on my 9800!

I have only seen multiplayer map retexture jobs.

Usually they are .wad files released to work with currently existing maps like de_dust and de_aztec for counter-strike.

I haven't seen a general HL wad release with updated textures myself.

There are detailed textures that Steam supports, but you need some files for it and whatnot.

don't you have to pay for steam? Thats certainly not gonna happen, I'm not paying for a 5yr old game, when I already bought it.

No, but they might start making people pay for it since there are always many people on. Either that or because Steam's servers suck and they always run out of bandwidth
