City of Heroes

I used to have a policy... and that policy was to never pay a monthly fee for any game. That all changed when I picked up City of Heroes. For those of you who don't know, City of Heroes is a MMORPG. It's fantastic!!! The most fun I've had plaiyng a MMORPG ever!

I got it the day it came out, and I've been playing it as much as I can. Work, school, and female take up a lot of time also...

I currently have a level 14 Science Blaster mastered in ice.

Does anyone have it?

Yep, I got it. Great game, worth the money. Playin it for 2 weeks now. Have a lvl 21 Blaster. If you see a "Pyrot" running around, its me. It`s my first MMORPG because I`m not really in Fantasy and nearly all other MMORPG`s are about Fantasy. There should be more MMORPG`s in a Sci Fi world!

it look sweete but "pay as you play" is pretty gay
you pay $49 for the game then pay a per moth fee to play it ?
most comanies that do that sell the game free or ubber cheap that charge for the online play but not both

Well, and how long do you usually play a game 1 week or 2 ? Sure this is an MMORPG so you can play it for more months but I think, if you have a lot of time to play then one or two months are enough. The first month is free and then 15 bucks montly. So it`s 65 bucks (50+15) for me and that`s really worth it.

There is a monthly fee because they are constantly updating and evolving the game. I think this one is worth it.

no game is worth paying per month. most of the charges for that, dont cover their servers, it goes in some fat dudes pocket.

65 too much for a game that you can play constantly without a break for 2 months (or more) ? I don`t think so, especially when I think about tons of crappy games for 50 bucks, which you can delete right after you installed them and played for an hour. And as I said, even a good game (without good multiplayer mode) you wouldn`t play longer than a week or two. Only people who would never pay a cent for a game (only a few cent for the cd-r) can`t accept to pay a monthly fee even if it is a GREAT game!

MMORPGs rock....im totally addicted to Lineage 2 at the moment.
i used to think paying a monthly fee for a game was crap also but after trying a MMORPG i dont really think there is any going back

I was just talking to a friend of mine about this yesterday. He basically said he would never pay a monthly fee for a game until he got City of Heroes. He was saying it is worth it just for the comedic value of some of the Hero's that people make. I know I was laughing when he told me about a guy who was just a giant cheese puff with a machine gun.

The game gets really fun when you start to team up with all different types of heroes. I team of 8 ladies/guys just blasting the hell out of everything.

the only MMORPG i will play is going to be Guild Wars..because some friends of mine that played during that "e3 for everyone" said it was really fun...and it's not going to have a monthly fee!!!! yippee.

that, and when/if diablo 3 ever comes out...omg...there goes my life!
