Does anyone know how to run quake 1 in opengl or d3d under a ati radeon 9700pro.

yes..... yes i do.... Few questions though.... You have to full verison of the game? do you feel up to downloading a few things and configuring it?..... i'd be happy to provide you my PrePack for Quake 1... (revision 2.5 almost complete).... it packs EVERYTHING you need.. including some neato extras.... The simplified prepack is 25mb in zip... the extended (includes HIGH RES textures and models along with high res skins) is currently looking to be about 100mb+

Yup I have the full version, a long with the two expansion packs (forgot the names). I would love to go with your full version pack. I have one question though. With your pack would the game run under XP, opengl or D3D, and with my hardware meaning ATI 9700pro? As far as downloading that's fine. As long as I get a step by step. Thanks.

It runs OPENGL.... with whatever power your 9700 can take advantage of..... My prepack so far includes Tenbrea Quake... FuhQuake (both of which are highly advanced forms of OPENGL with similare effects applied that will be see in DOOM 3... the first having Super enhanced Models and Skins while the last has Extremely High Resolution Textures)..... the other version i provide are of a bit lower quality.... but here's the thing... i'll let you decide what to play... i've created various shortcuts for each game .... each game has a safe mode/ a Quality Mode and a Preformance mode.... Everything is preset for you.... (alot of hours search the net for information and how toos have gone into this pack...)... I'd be happy to provide... but right now i have one Issue... I've not a place to host it.... I can provide you for right now the 25mb pack.. as i'm not completeled the extra large one yet.... As for the bonus packs.... i don't have them so i'm not sure how that would work...

I can provide you a place to upload that 100+ meg file. The download speed will be super fast too. I need to check to see if it still exists tho. If it does ill pm you the info to upload it. After that do whatever you want to the server...put porn on it if you want to

I dont use it , I have it for free..and its got tons of bandwith and space.

Thanks a million.... it's hard living without a server.... after having a free t3 dual cpu.... unlimited bandwidth and space server for a few years.... it's depressing to take a screenshot.... or make something... and then relize there isn't anywere you can upload it....
