few console tweaks:
r_shadow_realtime_world 0 - will boost your fps 1000x but you can kiss bumpmaps goodbye
ping - shows all pings
rate "10000"

Triple Buffering doesn't work, which would propably take care of the lag. Graphics aren't that great, what you would expect for a free game. Nice try though.

I can turn on triple buffering in the Radlinker control panel.. but that doesn't help.. The lag I am talking about seems to be network lag, not slow GFX.. It seems that the game waits till the server gets you commands before performing them or something.. The net-code is just laggy.

yeah the netcode is still netquake's, but uses quakeworld-style walk prediction. If you find walkigna roudn too choppy then try cl_movement 0 in console (that will turn off walk prediction but will allow you to do bunnyhops and might improve smoothness). All commands typed in the console are auto saved to the config btw so no need to save them to a config on your own Peace,

... I like the way tenembre with updated textures looks better. Plus the game is missing a bit of polish. Such as showing rockets.

What the game needs is more "umph" to the weapons. Animation + kickback + sound adds 'umph'. But quake gameplay does not have kickback to stick with the other two. Mostly sound in my ears. Cranking up high tone whistles and deep bass plungs. It gives the sounds more punch.

Also, the character models range from very good to crappy. They may want to cut a few ranks.
