there are MANY different modified Quake 1 engines now that even top this one... however.. this one looks highly optimised for whatever system they are running.... the map detail is also very good..

i'm guessing possibly free.... but i wouldn't say so yet.... it looks very intesting and looks like they put aLOT of work into it.... there own textures.. own models (i don't think they were RIPPED from other games completely).....

It is the quake1 engine, its one of the most advanced quake1 engine modifictions there is on the net. If some of you have heard of tenebrae, it has the features of that and more.

If anyone is having downloading problems just go to one of the other mirrors on the download page of the Nexuiz site (www.nexuiz.com)

All of the content is our own.

And I *might* try to find a publisher, if not I'll just release it on the net for free.

... EXCELLENT work there, Tenebrea is one of the well known engines (replacement engines) for quake 1.... however your's looks like a completely different game itself sporting the looks of various games that rob mentioned ... I'm very much looking forward to it.... But i think i may have a few to many questions

I've been working on a "PrePack" of quake 1, which includes all the various costum tweaks and packages i could find through the internet... doubt you'd be interested though.

Yeah, especially considering it seems to be quake1. C'mon, Quake3 hadn't been that impressive. Call of Duty is based on the latter engine and it will surely kick this game's ass.

looks amazing. I really need to pick up Quake 1 for myself, I can't find my disc for it, probably my favorite game of all time, coupled with Team Fortress

. Still love it to this day( play the shareware all the time lol). Only thing remotely close to it is SOF2 and COD for me

But damn thats probably the purdiest Q1 modifaction ever!

I just downloaded it, thats based on the Quake1 engine? you sure? I wouldnt be suprised if theres one line of code from the original Q1 engine there, as it simply looks great, very nice work there

It looks cool- but I can't get by the horrible lag. Why should lag make a difference when changing you weapons? Does the change weapon command go back to the server- then back to your PC? Hmm-- no ping on any servers to even check for a good connection.
