Come one, come all, match wits, s**ts, and mits with BWX and Rasta Monsta in a death-defying game of Colin McRae 4!

Tentative race time is Weds, June 30 at 22:00 EST. BWX & I just ran a tester, and from Buffalo he got a ping of ~100 to my rig in Portland (not Maine)! I think it should be fun!

P.S. FWIW, BWX & I ran three rallys, and split each one 3-3 for a tie (9-9 overall)! Coupla hours well spent!

Yeah that was a blast! probably some of the fastest times I ever drove (accept on the stages I crashed hard into trees of course)..
Ping was not an issue- if we could get 8 people on that would be great fun..

Get your Wheel and pedals Dusted off!! My steering wheel is a little loose, but I think it will make it.

If it doens't just post back here and I'll try again- but it should work, I made a rule to allow your IP ICPM-

I'm seeing that it blocked you again.. It shouldn't now-- try again- If it still doesn't work I'll have to just let ICPM work for everyone for a few minutes.

I think this is one online game you could play-- it might be laggy (just the time updates) durring the game, but the final results would be accurate I bet.. If you win, it would show that you won..

lol I can see other people trying to ping me, they get dropped, but I see your IP pinging me and it's letting it though,, cool...

You most likely only pinged the base station on the east coast. It still times out when I try to ping you. Did RM again......820+ ping

Yup, I see all kinds of different (but similar) IP's getting blocked- but only yours gets through, it must not give you a true ping that way--


If you want go again-- I have allowed ALL ICMP-- So it should give you a response..

Now when I ping you I see all the nodes too-- I was blocking my own pings out- So I see you pinged me again- I think it worked...




I know a lot of the nodes on my end (Adelphia) don't accept ICMP anymore, so maybe that's the problem if you still cannot ping me- You may not be able to do it in the DOS window..

Oh man, That really sux!

Hey man, you should still pop in and try when we are playing, or if you wanted I could start the game up and see what happens right now-- It would only take a few minutes-

it might not even let you on the server, or it may let you play, you will just have lag.. but it woudn't be like lag in an FPS shooter- just because of the way the game is played..

When we played tonight, I went directly to Rasta's IP and typed it in, I didn't even choose the option to go to the internet and it worked great... If you want to try real quick we could just to see what happens, we don't have to race or anything..

That's cool, it will be great if it works- that would be one of the few 3D type online games you could play with that connection.. It's damn fun too.

I took apart my steering wheel and modded it a little so I could tighten it up - it worked great, like a new wheel. Now I need to take it apart one more time to put some of my teflon lube in there, and I'll be good to go. I found my good lube after I closed her up- The lube I used works, but not nearly as well...


Time for some more surgery...

I need to go to sleep- I've been up since we raced If I'm going to race tomorrow, I need to be awake! But it's worth it - the wheel actually feels better than it did bran new- much better. I'm amazed.

I have this one-- it works great for PC, made for PS2 though-- and I don't use the dumb lap attachment-


But the momo would be nice-








But then again, what the heck is this? I never saw it until tonight- A PS2 wheel for GT4 with 900 degrees rotation- and looks nice.. I wonder if it would work with a PC??



For cheap wheels they are pretty good..
