we've got 4 on the server come say hi, server currently laggy though as I'm uploading maps, but only for about 5 minutes or so

lately i'm getting faster pings to Poopy's server through my internet then he's getting going from hit machine on the network... go figure.... rotfl..

although quake 1 isn't exactly great for pinging.... ut2k3 showed poopy with a ping of around 70-90ms... i've seen people with 30's and less

yeah.... if you direct connect to me... should get a boost as the server your pinging is the lower band server...i'm on a completely different server system... with 1/4 that ping....

Dedicated server is moving to V4.00 of my Prepack which is currently Absalute internal build only for gameplay reason... the dedicated server portion is fine though no worries)

Any new revision of my prepack should work FLAWLESSLY till furth notice... Darkplaces build date is still august 9th of 2004. ON OCCASION depending on what maps are being played.... people with earlier revisions may be able to join.... the new server now includes Mission pack 1 and 2 along with CTF (from 3Wave)

Why is v4.00 absalute internal build only?

It's highly untested, i've ran through various maps and whatnot.. but not the entire game.. i'm currently playing around with options.... working through mutiple scripts and setting up different types of installs to provide more options and capabilities... Which is also highly untested... AND SHOULD NOT BE DISTRUBUTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES other then testing.

The installer package may/will change in various degrees.. this being the first attempt at a more clean and easy installation process.. vs just unzipping the entire massive archive to a folder.. and TRYING to run it...

anyways... another reason is i only got a bit of the retexturing done... the new weapon models i'm also working on.... and still attempting to get High res/Poly Enemies and various models working....

Quake 1 server and other servers should only go down for a BRIEF period of time to setup the new package and dedicated server And make sure all is running well

sorry for the downtime.. everything up and running rather well again... if not better.. the server had been on without a restart for nearly a month.... every drive defragged and cleaned up...

within the month possibly... everything will be down for a guaranteed good while.... as i need to update to SP2 final... (currently on SP2 RC2)

will give notice before hand

NOW... anyone up for old school CTF?

Ok, last friday we had a blast with a bunch of people on the server, Lchevy, myself, Neon, Judas, Garmbalm, two of my friends Iblis and Lazerdaddy. The other night we had a pretty good 4 player match going for a while as well, what Judas and I have been talking about is starting a Friday Night Frag fest, my server rotation will start at 12:30PM EST with a rotation of DM-CTF-?. Judas's server probably Quake 3 will be CTF and DM, would start prior to mine, I'll let him post the details. We're gonna post the winners of each round/gametype here, as well on my server anyways, I'll upload a custom skin that everyone can see for the overall winner. If you want to get in on it let us know or join the server friday night at 12:30 AM EST - 8:30PM GMT.
