...i'm currently having some server issues with quake 3.... i personally don't like how the dedicated server portion of quake 3 acts.... it's a pain.. UT Classic... and UT2k3 is running flawlessly..

now if i can say, get a few people playing some Quake 1.. (Currently only CTF mode).... that'll be sweet!

The earliest i can get around to any server (home).... is probably 7:30PM friday night... (hopefully nothing goes wrong)

i'm currently posting this message at 7:41pm... so compare the times.....

Just a recommendation - http://www.orangesmoothie.org/ - best Quake III Arena server administration mod, has great statistics and voting, much improved over standard Q3A. Judas, can you try it and consider using it?

Yeah they make the only worthy SOF2 MOD (<--edit) too- EVERYONE that plays SOF2 mp uses it.

i wont be able to play untill next tuesday... i am going to nebraska to enjoy some time with the family. Last night i modded my r9800 pro heatsink to fit the shim for better gpu contact and so far w/o the as5 settling in i hit 459 core last night so yeah

i also missed it last nite. i was busy building my tv stand for my new 27" flat screen tv...

it was a refurbished unit, but works great and is in a good condition with a few minor scrapes here and there. but for $247 i think it's a pretty good deal...

OK, the results of the first weekly Frag Fest. This may change to saturday nights, lemme hear some input on that I know it's better for Drakon, but let me know what everyone else thinks.

First of all CTF, we had some amazing games with some nice saves in CTF, three boards played were CBP2 - Botanic, CBP2-Naelir, and January. In Botanic Garmbalm was the clear winner with a score of 73 followed by myself at 55. Naelir, Lchevy came out on top with 58, I followed at 45 and in January Lchevy once again owned at 60 with Judas following with 55. Scores for CTF are adjusted thusly, Number of captures multiplied by number of players on team and added to your final score. So...
CTF - Lchevy 159, Garmbalm 141, Poopy 127, Judas 90, and Lazer Daddy 82

Bombing run really mixed it up for a bunch of our players scores were all over the place, I did the best but I always had my team backing me up which was an enormous help. We played Bifrost, Brisge of Fate, and Skyline. Scores are adjusted by total points for team divided by number of players and added to each players total. Scores overall for Bombing Run are

BR- Poopy 125, Judas 71, Laser Daddy 50, Garmbalm 40, and Lchevy 30

Deathmatch, ahh good old deathmatch, splattering your oponents all over creation while trying not to get splattered by 5 other people is a rush. Everyone I think did pretty well overall, this gametype was really the only one where we experienced some strange internet issues, ping stayed mostly the same and everyone played a good game so I'm going over my server settings and optimizing anything that isn't for the future. Anyways In DM Judas owned Deck 17, Garmbalm had Crash, and I came out on top in Killbilly barn. The scores are

DM- Poopy 95, Judas 83, Garm 82, Lchevy 63, Laser daddy 41

So now the question is, who is the winner who gets to pick a skin for playing on the server.....

The winner is......
Garmbalm with a total score of 263
Lchevy was number 2 with 252
Judas 244
Lazer daddy 194
Congrats everyone will be able to see Garms custome skin next time you and he are on and next week we'll get a new one perhaps!

For the next Fragfest I need to know, if Saturday or friday at 12:30AM EST is best, and if you prefer Bombing Run or Onslaught as the third game type. Bombing run normal, Onslaught would be Excessive I think.

Well for me Sat nites would be better, cuz i gotta work on Fri nites. Onslaught would be a great addition to the other modes. i luv that mode...

Perhaps instead of using the excessive ONS, poopy, u can use the beserk + Zark ONS. I've tried the excessive ONS and i don't like it much. I like excessive with DM, TDM, CTF...

Server is back online, I think the best time for the Fragfest will turn out to be Saturday night at 12:30 EST, we'll run a DM, CTF, Assault rotation this week, although Garmbalm hasn't picked his custom skin yet (he's on vacation) the winner this week will recieve their own choice of custom skin on the server as well. Will Judas take the crown, or will Lchevy pull this one out? Perhaps sourcer? Drakon? Come by and lets see who's the boss!
