Default Post SimCity4 Demo anyone?

Finally Maxis is getting off the SIMS hype and getting back to THE game that put them on the map. I can't believe people are saying the SIMS is a more popular game than SimCity. That just disgusts me.

Anyways, I know the game is due out in 2004, but if anyone has any info on videos (besides the ones on their site) or demos - please let us know.

I'm sure there are more than 1 person here who's looking forward to that game!

I'm doubtfull what they can bring in Simcity 4..the gameplay is more or less known and chewed out by now and the graphics alone can not carry a newer version....if i were maxis i'ld go for a simcity & simms combo where you can both build the city & move in a simm..would be fun having to develop an industrial area before your simm can get a job etc. etc. than again maybe they found enough new thingies to make simcity a great game by itself

Actually that IS the goal of SC4. They are working out a way much like SimTower, where you not only build a sucessful tower, but you can montor 'tenants' and see what they are doing.

That will be a great addition to SimCity. Finally get a better opinion about how bad of a job you are doing! *then bulldoze their house just to be evil!*

As for graphics, yeah I agree there is very little they can add, but if you noticed their videos and demo videos at Expos - they have added night and day features - streetlights and stoplights, and highways that aren't ALWAYS raised above the ground! *what a waste of concrete!*

The game will be a long awaited addition to my collection. I don't mind waiting for a game that will bring back old memories - and add some more!
