UT2004 Patch #3

"Epic Games sends along the third Unreal Tournament 2004 patch, updating the game to v3270. The update offers changes/fixes related to the Onslaught gamemode, general gameplay, networking, engine and mods among other things. As before this patch is compatible with the retail version and previous patches. Read more for the full list of changes.

- Fixed "weapon not firing" bug, caused by reliable bunches from client getting queued up on server under certain packet loss conditions.
- Improved low net bandwith (modem) client net performance: [...]
- Made super shock beams not bNetTemporary (so you always see your shots even w/ packet loss)
- Improved server performance by removing some expensive (and never tripped) checks
- Fixed network jitter at low game speeds (gamespeed mutator)
- Speed hack checks enabled when flying redeemer
- Colored names exploit fixed again
- Fixed Web Response exploit
- Fixed server crash exploit

Awww.. still not bringing back the DX9 support

Still good old DX 8.1 yet again

this is not on the offical ut2004 site so i assume this is not an offical release?

3dgamers is one of the best sites for game downloads,if it were beta or unofficial they would say either.

every link i have seen this patch.all link goes via epic games and directs to ut2k4 homepage.but i do understand your concern.

nice to see theyr'e still hard at work would still like to see some stats logging though!

Epec usually post their updates using various sites before posting on their own... How Weird is that? Really?

Well, gonna install an play for awhile... but VCTF is still just as fun as Onslaught!

Beserk weopans are great with lots of ammo...hehe

Don't bother with unrealtournament.com, last time the Linux version of the older patch came out it took them over a whole week to update their site.

the patch is nice, i've been using this for two weeks now and the best noticable is the netcode improvements, overall the game feels smoother.
