Yes glenmurphy has written a mod so you dont need to keep changing between torch and weapon.

Hmm, it only works for the machine gun? I thought they would just make it so you could have the flashlight on all the time- Oh well..

Dont use it!!

A big part of the game, is the panic when switching from the flashlight to your weapon and back agaom all the time, because it's so dark in the game

See, I like the having to switch. By the end of the game you get a sort of zen gunslinger firing at sounds and the slightest movement. I swear my shotgun was blessed.

By the time I got to the part where I was without flashlight(In purgatory you get a flashlight. Haha, once you get there you'll laugh too).

But meh, whatever. Its seems like the first ID game in a long time that's not as run and gun. Seems a lot of folks don't like what they decided to do.

thing is you use the flashlight to check a room is clear and as soon as you enter 3 imps teleport in ..... kinda makes the flashlight a tad redundant

shame to make a game sooooooooooo visually gorgeous and the only allow you to see a small circle of it

My monitor is dark as it is, and it does get frustrating switching between the flashlight to see where the badguys are in the room, shooting them, bringing the flashlight back out, shooting more, and end up switching like a dozen times for a couple of small rooms. I'm so there.

This "mod" sucks. It does not illuminate the same as the flashlight.

i forgot i installed this mod right after i installed the game so i thought the flaslight on the guns was actually part of the genuine game. oops. duh. but the radius is so small that you have to swith to the bigger flashlight anyway.
