Doom 3 - Graphics all "wavy"
My friend was running Doom 3 at 800x600 previously so I had him jump on to the tweaking stuff and added an autoexec with the following lines.
However, with the autoexec in place, his graphics at 800x600 turn all wavy but the wavyness disappears if the resolution is upped to 1024x768, anyone know what the problem is? Settings for 800x600: seta image_preload "1" set r_mode "4" // screen size 3=6x4 4=8x6 5=10x7 6=12x10 7=16x10? 8=16x12 set image_downSizeLimit "256" //1024 for 256 cards. 512 for 128mb gfx. 256 for 64mb gfx see also com_videoRam set image_downSize "1" //use to enable above set image_ignoreHighQuality "0" set image_downSizeBumpLimit "256" //1024 for 256mb gfx. 512 for 128mb gfx. 256 for 64mb gfx set image_downSizeBump "1" //enables above set image_downSizeSpecularLimit "64" //no apparent speed change? leave as 64 set image_downSizeSpecular "1" //enables above, 0 slow, 1 fast set image_useCache "1" //game crashes if enabled and MinK is too low set image_cacheMegs "64" //max temporary cache size for precompressed textures set image_cacheMinK "6400" //minimum cache size of precompressed files in KB set com_videoRam "64" //doesn't auto detect correctly for some, set it manually set com_showFPS "1" //display current FPS in corner of screen System is: AMD XP 2100+ 512MB PC2700 A7N8X Deluxe 1.04 GeForce 4 ti4200 64MB |

Looks good I guess, except I haven't heard of VideoRam or IgnoreHighQuality before
