Doom 3's blood effects are by far the best blood effects I've ever seen (when they stay on the wall :lol) Seriously, the smearing effect is so good it's not screaming "I was just splattered here by a paintball gun"

But, CS:Source, does look better than CS.. and I guess that's what matters most. Now, the real question is: how will it perform? The stuff I'm seeing here doesn't look like you'll need a 9800 PRO to run at high settings @ 1280 x 1024 with.

P.S - This stuff could have been done on the Q3 Engine... or even by the Fusion Pack 12.. It's just a tad better. I'll see how it is..

The screenshots are all jpegs, I understand why they chose this, notably because of the large amount of people desiring a look at them, but they don't do the game justice.

I would like to see a bitmap or two of cs source, but have yet to find one.

yeah, it's supposed to look like the original CS. this isn't Counter-Strike 2, it's CS with better graphics/physics.

Actually it looks pretty darn nice. I mean its nothing special really but Its a nice upgrade. Look at the reflections on the water and the way it splashes when you shoot it. thats a nice touch.

Let my correct some mistakes.

CS:Source is free when you have bought HL2 and everybody buys HL2

And dont judge from these low-qual JPEG, try the game before you start dissing it. It's much better quality ingame, alot of cool effects and remember, it's still beta

And yes CS:Source is ment to be an update for the orignal CS, so therefore they havn't changed much, allthough it takes some time to get used to.

btw. the shield is gone

Thanks for the link. I'll take a look at it. The game certainly needs to be experienced first hand. I could care less about the graphics. I'm more concerned with how it performs and feels..
